Just one rule to make the read easy for everyone: do not make a wall of text, use a synthetic and schematic way to explain your trailer/announcement, especially if it's a long description. There's no other rule after that. The announcement can be a trailer, a simple Iwata talking, Sakurai arriving on E3's stage on a zeppelin with The Rock's theme song. The best one wins nothing, but it will be considered the best one. By no-one in particular.

My idea:

- This happens in the pre-E3 Nintendo Direct. Iwata has dropped bombs for the last 40 minutes, and time is running out. After showing the new Mario Kart, 3D Mario, Retro's project, Zelda and all the other good stuff Iwata says, in his usual calm tone, "Before you go. I. Have. Another game... for you.".
- On the screen appears Iwata in Mii form, on the new Battlefield stage of Sm4sh. The camera is zoomed in on him. "This is me. I am a Mii in this new game. I seem pretty funny, do I?".
- The camera zooms out revealing Miyamoto in Mii form present on the stage, on the right part. Mario walks towards Miiwata and punches him. "Oh, Miyamoto-san just hit me. Do not. Worry, though... I'm OK. Probably everyone of you already realized. This... But what you're... seeing. Is. The new Super Smash Brosauer game. Now I'll leave you... with Mr. Sakurai. The director. Of the game."
- Sakurai appears and dubbed in english says that he worked hard on a trailer for both Wii U and 3DS versions of the game to show the new features. He announces that we'll be able to have news about the game once a week through mini-Directs of 10 minutes presented by he himself. He salutes and the screen turns black.
- Mario, Link, Pikachu and Kirby runs into the new battlefield stage. This is exactly how it happened in the Brawl trailer. They take the same exact positions but then two of them get shot in the back. Samus Aran and Fox McCloud appear on the stage (the second one in a new outfit). Now they're six on the stage, and they start fighting, revealing that in this game you will be able to play with 6 players at the same time. The title "SUPER SMASH BROS. CHAOS" appears on the screen with a new orchestrated theme.
- The next scenes show a few moves of the characters. Pikachu hits Kirby with an electric attack on the new Pokémon Stadium. Fox deflects a Samus' missile on a stage based on the level Solar from Lylat Wars. Link grabs Pikachu in the air with his hookshot and throws him down. Kirby transforms into a Thwomp and stomps Mario, completely squashing him until he's invisible. Suddenly the music stops and everybody seems preoccupied and gathers around Thwomp/Kirby, which transforms back in his normal form and starts wondering about Mario.
- Mario gets up on his feet completely flat: he's Paper Mario. NEWCOMER: PAPER MARIO appears on the screen while he's recovering by holding his head in pain. They watch him confused for a while in silence, then he grabs his hammer and the music starts again.
- Paper Mario shows a few moves on a stage based on his franchise: an hammer on Kirby, he launches one of his allies against Pikachu, etc etc.
- Samus Aran performs a RUNNING GRAB against Fox on a level based on the newly announced Metroid game. This move is similar to one from Other M, where she keeps Fox on the ground while aiming at his head with the arm cannon. She's going to shoot but a wall cracks down. Ridley bursts into the place while the music resembles his theme. They replicate the same scene in the Melee opening where Ridley jumps towards the screen, but this time NEWCOMER: RIDLEY appears right before he's out of the screen.
- The next scenes are a few characters fighting their arch-nemesis. Mario is launching Bowser like he did in Super Mario 64 while holding him for his tail. Link runs against Ganondorf, but this time Ganondorf takes his sword and runs against Link too. Samus Aran shoots Ridley in the mouth while he drags her on the floor. Kirby and King Dedede have lunch in complete calm, smiling. Pikachu is walking in a cave when suddenly a deep laugh makes him startle. He turns around and sees Mewtwo sit in the air. COMEBACK: MEWTWO.
- Mewtwo shows off his new moveset against a bunch of characters, seemingly unstoppable. He finally grabs a final smash and uses it. We can see that he's transforming into something but we're not sure of what, even though the silhouette is clearly his Awakening Form.
- Pit, MetaKnight and Marth are all fighting against each other with their sword on a Fire Emblem: Awakening stage. Suddenly a hit throws everybody off. Shulk recovers from the attack by putting his big Monado sword on the ground and smiles. NEWCOMER: SHULK.
- Luigi is with his Poltegust in a mansion and he's sucking a few Boos and ghosts. Suddenly he startles when he sees a ghost of a new form: it's clearly a ghost from the Pac-Man games. The song of Pac-Man starts and he arrives in the mansion eating the ghost while Luigi screams scared ****less. NEWCOMER: PAC-MAN.
- Almost all the characters show one of their moves on the new Final Destination stage, when a thunder strikes in the middle of the stage. The music stops again, and Master Hand and Crazy Hand appear on the stage. Every characters stops and watch the hands, someone scared, someone angry. A deep voice says: "Do you want to see the man behind the curtain?". On a black screen just a creepy smile appears. NEWCOMER: ???.
- The Super Smash Bros. Chaos logo appears again, then it's black again. After a few seconds, Banjo, with Kazooie behind him, appears while the screen is still black. He knocks on the screen like he did in the intro to Banjo-Kazooie, but, not receiving answers, he just raises his hands and goes out of the screen.
- Megaton.

Perhaps these should also be wrapped up into a collapse tag? It was pretty fun to read though, I might do one of these myself, maybe.

My envision is this: (That I even dreamed about last night something similar to)

It starts off with Smash 64 with showing the original 12 in various battles, then with Mario/Link/Pikachu/Kirby it goes up and up and up. They're in a Steampunk world this time and what comes above them is the Venus Lighthouse. Newcomer: Isaac. Isaac immediately begins pulling out his sword and facing off Link, handling the others with various movements. The stage then moves to a sort of Casino (I don't know what would represent this) as Marth and Fox come in. Soon enough they see The Masked Man firing a few shots. Newcomer: Masked Man
After that, the stage moves to a sort of train. The various ones are still fighting when all of the sudden, Ridley shows up
Finally, they're ported to what looks like a Mario RPG stage. Bowser and Lucas are seen facing a final newcomer: King K. Rool

To end the trailer, Luke (Or Lloyd) is having a skit with his party (Those of you who have played a tales game should know what I'm talking about) and then joins in the fray against DK/Samus/Yoshi; a little bit is shown, but not much.

Kind-of lazy but something like that. Kinda like the Brawl trailer but with a bit more pizazz and gameplay. It'd be five newcomers (Two to new series) and showcase the first eight original twelve, Bowser, Lucas, and Marth.

I appreciate the effort spent on this to entertain us, but I'm suprised you didn't include Megaman in it :p , he's the most wanted third-party character and has a really high chance on become an SSB4 character.

Fils-Aime has just finished talking about the new Mario Kart, the new Zelda, or whatever. Then, suddenly, the lights go out. The crowd is silent.

Some people in the crowd now think they hear something. A high pitched buzz, or a whine. They cup their hands to their ears to figure out what it is. As the buzzing grows ever so louder, more bystanders become listeners. The buzz crescendos into an orchestra of dissonance and white noise, harassing the ears and minds of everyone in the room.

Then it stops.

A spot light hits center stage, as if to pierce the muffled blackness.

Out from the shadows, steps into the spotlight a human like form. People in the audience are disoriented from the noise, they struggle to discern what this is. Another Nintendo rep? Someone in a costume, to promote a new franchise?

The figure turns to the side. What looked like a human now seems utterly extraterrestrial. Some growth protrudes from its head. As it turns further to the side, the growth seems larger and larger. When the being has turned a full 90 degrees, the growth is seen to be extremely long, almost as long as the being itself is tall. Almost... Almost like a tail.

Every single light in the stadium light up. Alarms blare. People in the audience shuffle into their pockets, digging out cell phones that are curiously ringing, despite the fact that there is no call in progress. Mass confusion. In the light, though, people can see this mysterious figure on the stage.

This is the best thing I've ever read. And not because I like to pick at Iwata's english, I think he's a boss for going in front of camera and actually talking to the camera despite not speaking english natively, but damn, I can't help it.

I had fun writing that part. I love when he says something absolutely obvious with that tone. Also I forgot to say that when he introduces Sakurai he does that leap with his hands, so ****ing japanese.

Sakurai comes into the middle of E3 (Not where the Ninty Directs are, mind you) with sunglasses and a backwards red cap. He's carrying a boombox over his head that's playing a hip-hop remix of Brawl's main theme. He then puts down the boombox on Sony's stage while their conference is going on, turns it up louder and throws everyone currently on-stage into the audience. President Reggie then switches whatever current footage is on the screen with a Super Smash Bros. music video showing the evolution of the franchise through the years. It then shows a screen with nothing but the Sm4sh logo.

*Cue cheers from Twilight Princess E3 2004*

Then he slowly starts applauding.

I doubt it would be this epic, but let me dream :3

Iwata/Reggie goes trollmode, claiming to show some informations about a Luigi's Mansion WiiU Game.

- Another trailer is put in. It shows how Luigi walks around his mansion with his Poltergust,
looking for ghosts while he meets Kirby who is swallowing some ghosts infront of him.
Luigi is still confused, but Kirby suddenly smiles and grabs Luigi, going to ride with him on a warpstar, breaking through
all ceilings of the mansion, muting the tone for a short moment while they both fly so Iwata/Reggie can speak again.
- "Excuse my small lie. What you see here is not Luigi's Mansion. It is another game. The one for which all of you surely waited. It's Super Smash Brotheres for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS."
- The new song starts playing while the crowd sees how Luigi and Kirby crash on the new battlefield stage where Link and Pikachu are already fightening.
Kirby also jumps right in, while Luigi still couldn't believe his luck being in the trailer, then he runs in trying to smash some dudes.
- But just before he managed to reach Link/Pikachu, a Boomerang hits Luigi's head and he trips (trololo), showing Mario in his Hammer-/Boomerang-suit together with a 3DS coming from behind.
- Mario shows how he can change his skills with the 3DS as he pulls out FLUDD to hover and flush Kirby away, while Link suddenly holds his 3DS and pulls out his Metalhammer.
Just before Link reaches Mario, a certain noise can be heard coming from above, followed by an explosion hitting Link. A new person is floating above the crowd, who looks similar to Ballonfighter,
but looking closer and hearing his famous "Kaloo-Limpa" they noticed it's no one else then the fearsome Mapdrawer and communist. NEWCOMER: TINGLE
- While everyone (including the crowd) makes a face filled with hate and disbelieve, Tingle goes on a small rampage, throwing rubies at his foes while still being in the air.
- Tingle's Ballon suddenly shakes, as he noticed that Samus jumped upon it (like in Termina Bay), charging her new frostbeam at another airborn foe who is gliding towards the group.
The crowds cheers overtuned the music, as they already guessed who might appear now. Ridley could be seen and the screen freezes like for every newcomer, but this time the screen shows "TOO BIG". Some fans prepared to throw molotowcoctails, but then the message refreshed to "Nevermind. NEWCOMER: RIDLEY", leading into a peaceful continuation of the show.
- While Samus and Ridley have their usual rival battle, Mario fights his old rival Wario who jumped out of his Motorcycle, typing something in his own 3DS which alternates his moveset and he begins to use his chargeattack at Mario. While Luigi came back to help Mario, he got stabbed from behind once again and kidnapped, this time with a tennis-bat.
A big "WAAAAAAAAAAAA" Scream could be heared while this new guy brofists Wario while having Luigi on his shoulders. GUESS WHO IS NOW IN SMASH BROS? NEWCOMER: WALUIGI
- Ridley who managed to catch Samus joins Waluigis subgroup, which now prepares to ruin the whole Smash party. But Ridley and Waluigi suddenly get hit by a big Lightball, freeing Luigi out of his Dilema.
The Camera moves to the saviour, first showing Pit in the clouds who wonders why he gets shown saying "hu", then the camera moves slightly to the right, showing Paluntena smiling. NEWCOMER: PALUNTENA
- The bad guys regroup as Pit and Paluntena are flying down, showing Waluigi putting out an about-to-explode Bomb-Omb, Wario a garlic and Ridley is tossing out a big scream.
Right behind them appear four other villans together, each with a 3DS and another Item, first one being Bowser with his Vacoom Mushroom, second one Ganondorf with his Sword, third one Dedede who's on his Dededebike and fourth one being no one else then the almighty schizophrenic crocodile everybody loves. NEWCOMER: KING K ROOL.
-As the heroes and villans are charing at each other and meet at the middle, the camera goes up, finally showing the SmashBros Logo proving it's not a dream.
-After the music finishes, the camera scrolls down again, showing everyone but one person standing exact in the middle being defeated. This guy looks very similar to Samus, but is blue. Meanwhile the crowd goes insane, throwing chocolate and loveletters at Iwata/Reggie and hugging them.
-NEWCOMER: Megaman

The whole thing is based as people can optimize Smash Characters on the 3DS Version while having stable characters on the Wii U.

No way, for his Final Smash he'd pull an Oprah:

"You get a Landmaster! And you get a Landmaster! And you get a Landmaster! Everybody gets a Landmaster!"

And then it'll proceed to rain Landmasters.

I hate to ask this because this is a really cool thread...but when exactly would this be televised? Nintendo announced in late April that they aren't doing a press conference this year, and, while they will have stuff at E3, it may not get much camera time at all for those of us not going to E3.

At one of the Directs they'll make around the time of E3.
And anyway it's a fanmade topic, you can make the announcement during Fox News for all I care, "you have the chance to decide how".

Nintendo are holding two smaller conferences, one for business and one for video games only as far as I got it. Not quite as big as it usually is, but they're still gonna be there. Plus, there's the Nintendo Direct that's assumed to happen June 4th.

Yeah I knew they were going to be there still. I just got to it straight from the E3 thing so I misunderstood the OP. But yeah some of these would be awesome. I have always thought it'd be really funny to not hear about it at all then see it suddenly on the shelf. Like a ninja release date or something. It will never happen but I like the concept. Like, hype starts because it suddenly appeared on shelves.

Yeah, as cool as the idea might be, it would make for extremely poor first week sales, and in general it would lack hype since they wouldn't be able to tease anything. It's a nice way to not sell your game though.

Releasing a game without anybody knowing? Without advertisement? Do I really have to explain myself lol?
Sorry, I should have made myself clear. I was thinking of an earlier than advertised release date. You know, a surprise one. For instance, we KNEW the game was coming on X, but they release it on an earlier date, Y, and tell everyone.

Everything happens normally and predictably. Mario, Kirby, Link and Pikachu duke it out and ****.

Suddenly, darkness.

"What's my name?"

Smoke fills the screen. We see flashes of green, yellow and red in that order.

"When the pimp's in the crib, ma, drop it like it's hot..."

It's Snoop Dogg; cross-legged on a throne, fully clad in rasta gear and surrounded by scantily clad women.

He coughs. "Word up."

Super Smash Bros Kerfuffle 4.20.14

The trailer fades out to an a capella "smoke weed everyday".

Ridley is too big.

I've started writing this.. bit. I may or may not finish it, but I personally somewhat enjoy it:

- We start off with an establishing shot of the new Battlefield. Master Hand flies in, his hand closed, obviously clutching something. As he approaches the centre of the stage, he tosses the four trophies he was holding on the stage: Mario, Link, Kirby and Pikachu each land on their own platform.
- As the trophies land, Master Hand starts counting down. Three. Two. One. He snaps his fingers. We zoom in on the trophies, who slowly turn into the fighter, like they've been doing in every trailer so far. Once they're all un-trophied, they run into each other and start battling.
- Much like the Brawl trailer, most of the fighting is done on the Battlefield stage, but at one point they'll swap to a new stage: Gangplank Galleon, where they keep duking it out, until a barrage of cannonballs and bananas starts pouring down on them.
- The four flee and take shelter near the ship's cabin. Puzzled, they peer at the cannonballs that torrent down the deck like raindrops in a heavy storm, until Link looks through one of the many portholes that decorate the cabins. Link lets out a startled grunt and signals the others to look inside.
- The camera follows their movements into an over-the-shoulder view and shows what's inside the cabin. We see the backside of King K. Rool, sitting in his chair with a Wii U GamePad in his hand. The camera zooms in on K. Rool: the GamePad shows the Gangplank stage, and King K. Rool is avidly tapping the screen: each time he touches the screen a cannonball appears. He's heartily laughing, with his face turned towards the ceiling.
- Once he turns his face back towards the GamePad, he notices that the fighters have left the stage, and turns around. The camera follows. His laughter quickly turns to nervous chuckling as he sees our four heroes peeking through the window. He puts the GamePad down, and tries to tiptoe away.
- When he's halfway through the cabin, Donkey Kong falls through the ceiling, and Giant Punches K. Rool through the door. He pounds his chest four times and jumps through the hole in the door.
- The fat Kremling King flies just past Mario, and slams head-first into one of the ship's masts, and tries to get up as stars circle his head in a cartoony fashion.
- DK jumps towards King K. Rool, charging his punch to deliver the knock-out, and just when he's about to punch, he's hit in the face by a familiar boxing glove: Little Mac decides to get a rematch.
- The power of Mac's punch sends DK flying back, and Mac proudly taps his fists together. The camera rotates a bit, and shows a baffled Mario.
- Mario signals Mac to look behing him, where King K. Rool is getting up, showing Mac his error. In a traditional "oops" fashion, Mac then 'scratches' the back of his head.
