no. you'd just stay in place since when your friend tries to pull you up you'll be pushed down the same distance you just went up.

This is still wrong.

If you push down on your friend in microgravity then you will go up and he will go down.

If you hold onto each other to keep from being pushed away then you won't move anywhere at all. In this situation it will be because your friend is pulling on you to go up (so he won't go down) with the exact same force that you are pushing down. You are doing the same thing in reverse by holding onto him.
