I have a thing for top 10 lists, so I'd like to share mine with you as well as hear yours.

Remember, this is for personal top 10 lists, so don't complain about someone's list saying "This game is so much better than that game!! How could that piece of crap possibly be your number one!?!?!?"

Also, feel free to add in any other video game related top 10s that you may have, but try to keep it in the same post.

My Top 10 Video Games of All Time.

10. Dance Dance Revolution

Not a great game by any means, but I'll always hold a place in my heart for this one. I was really into this game back in the day and traveled all around to play in several tournaments. I won some money and made some of the best friends that I still have today by playing this game. Pure and simple fun.

9. Gitaroo Man

"Gitaroo Man! Hero of Legend!" This game rocks so hard I can't even take it. This an amazing soundtrack, a ridiculous cast of characters, fun game play and one of the most simple yet inspirational stories I've ever seen on a video game, Gitaroo Man will always be a personal favorite.

8. Silent Hill 2

Maybe not the first scary game I ever played, but it was the first to make me feel very uneasy after playing it. Everything that went into creating the atmosphere for this game is absolutely terrifying. Also, this was the only game that made me put the controller down and stop playing, not because I didn't know where to go or was stuck, I just had a feeling that Pyramid Head was on the other side of that door.

7. Final Fantasy IX

With a fantastic story, awesome villain and the best characters to ever grace a Final Fantasy game, FFIX is a winner all around. The colorful cast of characters is what really drives this game and they never fail to entertain. Also, Chocobo Hot and Cold = best Chocobo game ever.

6. Super Smash Bros. Melee

If you are reading my top 10 on this website and you don't know what game this is, well.... I don't even know. It's freaking Melee. Enough said.

5. Shadow of the Colossus

The wonderful spiritual successor to ICO takes my number 5 spot. The boss battles, the art direction, the music; everything about this game was so epic it hurt. I almost wet my pants when I finally came across the final boss of this game. Any game that can do that must deserve a spot on this list.

4. Final Fantasy VIII

If you can get over the fact that this is a love story, Final Fantasy VIII is probably the best Final Fantasy game ever made. FFVIII is home to one of the greatest stories ever told through a video game, a junction system that gave you great control over your characters, the best summons in any FF game, plus and addictive card game to boot. Love it or hate it, this game rocked my socks.

3. Super Mario 64

Collecting 120 stars was never this much fun! Having complete control of our favorite Italian plumber in a 3D universe made this game an instant classic. With plenty of fun levels, tons of stars to collect, and a special surprise waiting for you at the top of the castle, Mario 64 is one of the greatest games ever made.

2. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Ah, of course, Ocarina of Time. What list isn't complete without it? There isn't really much else to be said about this game that hasn't been said a thousand times before. I think the reason I love this game so much is because it was the first time that I felt I was playing something that was truly epic. Over the years, I think I've come to respect Majora's Mask as a better game all around, but Ocarina will always hold that special place in my heart.

1. ICO

This is it, my number one favorite game of all time. This game completely sucked me in like no other game has before. Not only was I completely immersed in the atmosphere, but I felt a very strong emotional attachment to both of the main characters, Ico and Yorda. From the beginning to the tear-jerking end, this game is the single best video game I have ever played, hands down.

10. Psychonauts(Xbox/PS2)

A just amazing all-around platformer with great gameplay, great art style, humorous dialouge, almosteverything made this game fun. The only thing that keeps it from getting higher on the list is the complete lack of replay value.

9. Soul Calibur III(PS2)

Best fighting game ever. Period. Great story, awesome graphics, fun gameplay, and an awesome character creation mode within the package just makes this game great.

8. Super Mario World(SNES)

This is definitely the best game on the SNES, and possibly the greatest platformer ever. This game was just so fun to play, and I still go and mess around on it when I'm bored.

7. Elite Beat Agents(DS)

I'd say this is the best music game out there, even beating Guitar Hero. With incredibly addicting gameplay, you'll just want to play this game more and more. This kind of game can only be performed on the DS, and that's what makes it great.

6. Kingdom Hearts II (PS2)

Great story, fun real-time gameplay, and some really good graphics and cool characrters make this game awesome. It's also very challenging, even on Normal difficulty sometimes, especially the bosses. I just fell in love with this game when I was playing it, and I loved every minute of it. Except the fight with Demxy, that was just annoying.

5. Sonic Adventure 2: Battle(GCN)

My first ever Sonic game. This game wasn't well received by critics, but I just love it for some reason. I loved the story, though some may think it's unoriginal, and I loved all of the fun levels. This game, I think, is one of the most underrated games of all time.

4. TIE: Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door(N64 and GCN)

Possibly the only turn-based games I like. Just almost everything about them is great. Seriously, name any aspect of video gaming and these games nailed them.

3. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess(GCN/Wii)

Game is awesome. Period. Probably the most perfected Zelda game, but it gets lower on my list than OoT because it's just not as impressive as OoT was.

2. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time(N64)

I remember I was young, and I just got the game. I really had no idea what to do, the game was just so complex that my young mind was just baffled at it. I was probably twelve when I first beat it. I was so impressed, that I decided to play it again, and I rarely do that right after I beat a game. Almost everything about this game is perfect.

1. Metroid Prime(GCN)

Best game ever made, ever. I just recently picked it up at GameStop for $6, and when I put it in, I was so happy I did. The graphics, gameplay, environments(ESPECIALLY the environments), puzzles, difficulty, bosses, ect. was the best I've ever played in a game. If you have never played a Metroid game before, you should play this game now. You owe it to yourself.

Hmm, for the most part, I can agree and relate to your top ten TMS. SA2B is HIGHLY underated, like you said (those chao are a game in themselves) . The rest of your top 5 is great as well.

I have to disagree when it comes to KH, that game is just so repetative and unimaginitive IMO. The story isn't good at all.

Oh, and EBA being better than GH... lol.

EBA is hella fun tho.

Doing this was difficult, but here I go.

1. Yoshi's Island- Yoshi's my favorite character of all time, and this is my favorite platformer since it introduced fun gameplay ideas. A combination that can't lose.
2. Super Smash Bros. Melee- You know why.
3. Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence- First MGS game I ever played. Thoroughly enjoyed everything about it and got me addicted to the series.
4. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time- Best Zelda ever.
5. Final Fantasy X- Best FF ever and the first one I've played.
6. Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes- So good it makes me wonder why I didn't play the original in 1998.
7. Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars- Excellent Square RPG with Mario characters.
8. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess- Another Zelda Masterpiece.
9. Super Metroid- Best 2D Metroid ever.
10. Mario Kart DS- The best Mario Kart ever with free online play(When I get connected).

Funny story recently happened, there was this kid at my school saying that Halo 3 was the greatest video game of all time, and challenged anyone to prove him wrong. I said "Link to the Past", and he shut up. Then he went on saying that "Legend of Zelda is overrated, you're only saying that because you're a fan of Nintendo games and still have a SNES, and if you had an Xbox 360 (which I do, lulz) that you would say Halo 3 is the best game on the 360, thus making it the best game on the best system ever, thus making it the best game ever!" and all this crap while turning red-faced and spitting while he talked. The best game on 360 is Dead or Alive 4, BTW.

Why is OoT brilliant? OoT revulutionized the gaming industry. It show that games can be made well in 3D, even games costomarily 2D. It introduced the first lock-on targeting system ( or at least the first good one). It ( along with Mario 64) brought the entire Nintendo company into the 3D era . And its vital to the Legend of Zelda series. OoT is probably the best Zelda game, although it's really more of a tie with Link to the Past. Besides all that, it really is an awesome game: Excellent controls , innovative enemies and boss battles, and a real story line. Now I'll concede that there are some Zelda fanboys (myself included) who will go over the top on how awesome OoT is.

Agreed, Link to the Past is better, IMO. However, OoT is one of the most revolutionary games ever made, so I wouldn't call it a cliche to put it at number 1.
