I've been very involved in MLG since 2008 (been to 7 events, 6 for Gears of War and 1 for Brawl), and for some reason I always like to know the numbers for every game so I ask around.

Not really, it didn't sell out 3 times last season and only had 120 teams at the first event this season.

Halo had 104 Amateur teams plus the 16 top seeded teams, so Halo had a total of 120 teams. Brawl had 183 or 184 players. Tekken had 64 players.

Well from the $3,700 I've won from MLG I only got taxed approx. $22-23 lol, so I think you'll be fine. Unless you're state taxes differently than mine, you should only lose approx. $15-16.

The way MLG works is for every game they add to the circuit, the first event's seeding is completely randomized, so it is possible that ppl like Ally and M2K play first round. However, after the first event players are awarded seeding points based off of their placing, and total seeding points...
