Wario Land (Super Mario Land 3), no question. Absolutely fantastic game. More likely, they'd use a level of some WarioWare game.

Me and my friends generally play free-for-all, winner takes a shot and most kills takes a shot. It's not frantic or crazy, per se, but it's a fantastic way of leveling the playing field after a few rounds.

The majority of the sound test voice bits are grunts and the like, which accompany attacks in gameplay. That's why those sound test videos are only showing a few for each character.

It's completely understandable, but a shame that only certain characters on that ridiculous list of theirs will be making it in. There are quite a few on there that I think would be awesome to play who, if they're going for recognition, most likely will not appear.

Consider it a game mechanics exploit. Call it "wave-CD-collection" if it'll make you feel better. Edit: And I felt so witty, too. Dammit. XD

Sonic and Snake have certainly been heard. I've seen a few trailer clips where it's clear that Pokemon Trainer does in fact have Ash's voice, and I think I read that Marth's keeping his Japanese voice, though I couldn't say that for sure.

Yeah, the My Music menu allows you to turn off songs. ...though the Waiting Room music doesn't play on either of those stages.
