"PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale": Sony's version of Super Smash Bros.

I'm putting together a podcast about All-Stars. If anyone is interested in helping, send me a message.

"PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale": Sony's version of Super Smash Bros.

Pretty much. I'm assuming they will put it back up when the beta goes public with an update. Evil Cole seems fine to me. Judging by just the basic principle of his attacks, he seems to be the better Cole.

Apex 2013 - Pools up in OP! - Only at the door for FGC!

I heard there may be a Playstation All-Stars tournament also, assuming the game is legit. Is that true?

Thinking about starting a podcast and strategy forum for this game. If anybody is interested in helping, let me know.

I've got questions for anyone who is going to this.

"PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale": Sony's version of Super Smash Bros.

QFT. It's a slippery slope. When the game comes out, I plan on streaming two tournaments of this game: One with items and one without. My goal is to see the appeal of each one to players and audience members alike.

    Playstation All-Stars Beta Response

I'm pretty sure when you take away lag, blocking in it's current form is probably too good. It's pretty weird because I don't block often. I just simply get out of the way to position myself for a counter-attack. A 1 on 1 situation, however, will contain a lot of reaction-based decisions like...

"PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale": Sony's version of Super Smash Bros.

lol. Yeah, but epic in a good way. Big in a not-so-good way.

    Playstation All-Stars Beta Response

On here? Not sure. Ask AlphaZealot. Superbot's facebook gives out a ton. Was gonna do an epic post about 2.0, but I can’t say much... -Stage Hazards hurt a whole lot. I used to not care much about Metropolis’ center hazard much, but now it hurts too much to risk. I need to play tighter and I...

"PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale": Sony's version of Super Smash Bros.

You have a point. I only know as much as you know, so we should avoid assumptions. However, when you look at Evo's philosophies towards how a game is supposed to be played and their history with a similar title, it's not a crazy assumption to make. I can't speak for Sony at all, but I can see...

"PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale": Sony's version of Super Smash Bros.

I'm glad we can all see eye to eye to some extent. I just want some open-mindedness and willingness to experiment, not go against a community. I'm not trying to be Mr. Wizard. lol Speaking of which...We will have to accept a couple things. If Evo ever does this game, there will be items. If...

    Playstation All-Stars Beta Response

I'm sure the majority of the smash community is going to want items off as an assumption that they would be bad for competitive play, but we don't know where items stand as of now. Also, this is a different game that the smash community will not completely accept anyway. This game will probably...

    Playstation All-Stars Beta Response

Just because we can doesn't mean we should. We don't even know if the items are unfair, so why are we writing them off? Let's give these a guys a chance to balance the items. I understand the traditions and the debate that comes with the discussion of items, but I respectfully disagree. This...

"PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale": Sony's version of Super Smash Bros.

That is true but you could also think of it this way: Convenient or not, a player is taking time away from the main objective to get the item, which (as far as we know) doesn't directly affect the win results. Also, they are risking more consistent means of gaining momentum for a slightly...

"PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale": Sony's version of Super Smash Bros.

That's my issue. Assuming items are well-balanced, why should we just automatically ban them? This isn't smash. It's objectively different. Items in smash are naturally more chaotic because they vary so much in power level and effect. Based on what has been revealed so far, the items in...
