    Can you ask your parents soon if I can meet you at the tourney, then hang out at your house (probably 'til Monday, since we have some where to be in LA that day) and tell me the answer some time soon?

    Speaking of balanced Brawl, I looked at the character changelists for the new build... they're all so... boring. Like expecting 7 frames faster IASA on Luigi's fireball to be the ONLY thing needed to make Luigi COMPLETELY viable (no joke, that and changing his dash attack so that it's not abysmal are the ONLY changes...) Brawl- is so much more crazy with its changes, maybe that's why it's so much more fun lol

    I've been practicing more Melee Fox, and I'm getting better at SHDLs, can get 'em like 25% of the time haha

    Wow crazy **** has been going on at MLG (can't watch but the results coming in are CRAZY).

    WC got bracket ****ed, Havok and Tyrant had to play each other in winner's, and then the next round DSF and Tyrant had to play each other (DSF won, so I'm pretty sure he's assured top 6, and now he has to play M2K in the ditto, which is like M2Ks best matchup lmao)... that's just dumb. And then apparently Havok and Mikehaze had to play in losers...

    BigLou (you know, the Luigi player) beat MikeHAZE in winners (and Mikehaze the previous round beat YoshQ...), then the next round beat ****ing Atomsk's MK (and Atomsk is really, really good. He beat ADHD a few weeks ago).

    Maybe those matchups aren't as unwinnable as the Luigi boards say.

    This Florida Marth named Chaz beat neo, who was generally considered atleast the best EC Marth (a lot of people considered him the best marth period...), and Malcom (generally considered a top 3 Wario) lost to a D3 that most people have never even heard of named DewDaDash... then Malcom went on to beat neo in loser's bracket, then Chaz that Florida Marth got sent to losers by... idk who, and beat Malcom lol

    And now apparently that Marth Chaz 2-0'd Lain O_o

    Larry got 2-0'd by M2K. A little surprising that it was a 2-0 (Larry got 2 stocked first match), but unsurprising that M2K won.

    Hey, think you can go to World 3-2 this weekend? I think I'll be able to get a ride with Rich.

    Maybe we could even meet up there and I could hang out at your house for a day or two or something (haven't asked my parents about this yet, just an idea I thought of just now :p)

    Brawl- alpha came out, btw. So if I came over we could play that too XD

    I went to Champ's Triweekly yesterday.

    Awesome tournament. Toooons of setups. Got to play a ton of friendlies. And I am completely convinced that Green Greens should be banned because of some of the things I saw...

    And I still REALLY need to work on not choking, because it was reaaaally bad this time. First match I played was against a Peach player, won first match, got taken to Green Greens and lost (nothing reaaaaally bad happened here, not like some of the things I saw happen in other matches), and then had an 80% lead last stock with 30 seconds left (on Smashville. Was gonna time him out) and then accidently drill rushed off the edge......... I was soooooooooo pissed. As soon as I SD'd I yelled "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK" then proceeded to yell "god **** it" for like 30 seconds straight.

    Then I played a Falco/Snake main and played smart the first match (timed him out on Pokemon Stadium with a stock lead), then got nervous, reaction started getting worse, legs started shaking a bit, started being more impatient and less smart, and lost the next 2.

    I played tons of friendlies as Wario, though. Actually did okay with him. And he is so much fun. I'm definitely maining him if MK ever gets banned.

    Oh and my dad got to meet Rich and he said that I'll probably be able to carpool with him! So I'll get to go to more tournies!

    I found a way that will help me go to more tournies! Rich Brown lives in Santa Clarita which is only about an hour from where I live, and my mom goes there fairly often, and he said I could get a ride with him to tournaments (which he goes to biweekly. Which is way better than me normally going to tourneys once a month at the MOST).

    My mom is fine with it, but my dad seemed a little nervous about me getting rides with people he doesn't know. I hope he signs on so I can go to more tournies...

    The ONLY difference is difference in grab box sizes. But as long as you're positioning yourself correctly when doing the Fthrow that shouldn't make any difference at all.

    Unless you've got a mental block about the character (I can't Fthrow CG MK to save my life, which is wierd because he's about the same size as Kirby who I can consistently 0-death with nothing but Fthrow, and the frame data never changes...)

    Try doing a dash dance, then right afterwards tap shield, then Ice Block immediatly. If you do it right, you'll dash dance, Popo will shield, then Nana will Ice Block. Kakera does it a lot.

    In case you don't know, Kakera is the best ICs player in Japan. And also happens to have the sexiest Ice Climbers in the world.

    Which dash dance desync? There are two (and a variation where you use the shield to desync with it as well). One where you desync by doing a dash dance then Popo does like an Ice Block allowing Nana to do anything, or the one where Nana does something and Popo can do stuff afterwards?

    The latter is better. Like you can dash dance desync so that Nana shoots an Ice Block and Popo follows the Ice Block and grabs the opponent (if they shield the ice block, free grab, get hit by it, free grab, etc. Limits options and leads to grabs really well).

    And you should be able to Fthrow CG the entire cast. It's the exact same timing (according to frame data which isn't wrong lol) for every single character with Fthrow.

    So if you have trouble learning other throws, you could just walk across the stage with Fthrow CG, then Fthrow > pivot grab CG.

    I'm not joking lol. I think it's escapable with good DI or something, but I think on Marth you can Uthrow > Nana footstool > Popo turn around Ice Block to make them auto-get up and grab again lol. Although it only works on like Marth IIRC

    If you wanna learn IC stuff, I could teach you a lot :P

    It looks so primitive compared to Brawl hacking lol (but I guess that's 'cause the majority of the people don't have a problem with Melee and haven't tried to hack as much)

    Yeah they're really fun. Only reason why I've been trying over and over and over again to try and main them even though my ICs suck (I guess I'll just keep them as a CP character in case I ever have D3, Fox, or Sheik troubles...)

    You should learn all the technical stuff with them.

    Infinite CG (with every single throw :p), hobbling (Dthrow, Fthrow, and Bthrow hobbling (esp back throw), and even Uthrow hobbling which I think works on Marth lmao), pivot desynch, dash dance desync, Hylian desync.

    They're like seriously Melee levels of technical.

    I honestly don't know who I want to main and focus on as a secondary.

    Next tourney I go to, I'm going all Snake and I'm going to try and time everyone out. I wonder how well I'd do if I just went Snake and did nothing but hardcore camp. Like the camping I do with Falco, but punish for 21% everytime they get near me with Ftilt, and kill at 90 lol.

    No offense, but that sounds kinda boring lol (and, yeah, this is coming from the person who times out low tiers in friendlies :p)

    The tournament is going to be really boring. Thousands of dollars on the line... you can bet that M2K is going to be playing gay as **** on Norfair and Green Greens (MK can scrooge really well there, IIRC).

    No Dave's Stupid Rule, so he can go to RC/GG/Norfair as much as he wants.

    It's gonna make me hate the fact that I'm a Brawl player lol...

    Castle Seige is like almost a starter except for the ******* (wth dumba$$ is censored?) walk-off ledges.

    Doubles is going to be funny. Larry should team with ADHD and get auto-first XD

    Whoa if the people who played in Winner's Finals play again in Grand Finals at MLG it expands to a best of ELEVEN and starts where Winner's Finals left off...

    Jesus with this ruleset that'll take two freaken hours lol
    EDIT: Wait I'm dumb... was thinking best of 11 meant first player to get 11 wins lol THAT would take 2 hours... although I guess it'd just be first to six haha.

    Actually AlphaZealot (who works with MLG apparently) said that they're removing the "2 players can't pick the same character in doubles" rule.

    You know what'll be even more funny? Doubles. Did you notice that it didn't include the "Team Attack Must be On" rule?

    Double MK... nado, then cover the lag of nado with another nado lmao. Nado then when they're caught in it the other MK can like NAir or SLoop them out of it right as it ends.

    Or double ICs. One IC Blizz Walls while the other UAirs anything that gets close.

    Or double Falco... that'd just be dumb. Two Falcos laser camping at the same time, then phantasm to the other side at barely different times to make it unpunishable...

    Falco/Diddy or Diddy/MK'll be ridiculous... laser camp and naners that can't touch each other at the same time O_O

    I like the stages that they're using, but Delfino, Castle Seige, and Halberd all as neutrals is RIDICULOUS.

    I can understand Green Greens legal as it definitely promotes diversity, but it's definitely bannable. Watch RichBrown (since PS (who's likely the best Olimar) can't go because of that ******* Wiichuck rule) get like top 5 at this from just CPing Green Greens, and doing the bomb glitch and camping behind the wall, then killing at like 20 with up smash lol...

    Ruleset is ridiculous.

    Oh and in doubles the team can't have two of the same character, which is ********. The only viable doubles team like that is double MK, and it's not even the best team, let alone is it close to bannable...

    Delfino, Halberd, and Castle Seige are ****ing STARTERS (not CPs, STARTERS). Wireless controllers (which means Wiichuck and classic controllers) are banned. And, no, I'm not joking. Which means top players who've already bought passes like Razer, YBM, Pyronic Star/Logic, and Tearbear aren't going to be able to play.

    Norfair is legal, so is Green Greens and PS2, but for some wierd reason Japes isn't (seriously... Green Greens legal but not Japes?).

    God with Norfair legal... blech MK'll be even gayer... (air camping+I wonder if he can scrooge there...)

    You would never notice it in real time, but in frame-by-frame, it's REALLY noticeable.

    Oh and did you see that MK is going to be legal at MLG? MLG kinda just royally ****ed all those poor pro-bans with that one decision right there lol...

    Did you know that Luigi gets noticeably larger for like 1 or 2 frames every time he uses NAir?

    Got the code that lets me slow down the game to frame-by-frame so I'm learning some random stuff :p

    He didn't say anything, although a couple people said I was player suuuuper gay (which made me happy. I mean if I'm striving to play gay and you think it's bad or something, saying I was playing gay is just a compliment lol). Or was it second to last stock...?

    Can't remember, but I remember I took off a bunch of his lives with just one life by planking lol.

    Idk... maybe around 2-ish? I'm not sure, though, that's just a guess.

    I almost timed out two Peach players in friendlies at TP4. And I wasn't even trying to, was just BAir camping the ENTIRE match (BAir was so stale that it was only doing like 7% lol).

    I think if I go like Dream Land, or Brinstar, I can try and pull a DMG and be super gay with air dodges and stuff.

    Actually at TP4, I played Silent Wolf's Fox, and when I was down to last stock I just started to plank, and actually managed to take him to last stock just by doing that XD

    I'm not sure where all of them are going to be, but I know that there's usually an Anaheim tournament on the MLG circuit. So there's a good chance we'll be able to go to atleast one.

    Yeah that'd be okay. I read the Alice in Wonderland book a few years ago and loved it, but Idk if the movie'll be any good :p

    I think it's the best way to go about it as it doesn't limit characters like Pit, but apparently it's a bad rule because if we have to limit MK we should just ban him instead (which is completely unnecesary if you can limit him, and we did the same god **** thing to Jiggs in Melee with her infinite rising Pound stall.........).

    As long as they have a good ruleset, I can see this as doing nothing but good for Brawl.

    So it'd be okay if I went over to your house on Thursday and stayed till Monday? My parents are going into LA on Thursday anyways.

    I am now pro-ban if there is no ledge grab limit (but there should be a ledge grab limit applying to MK, anyways, so...)

    It means big, well-run tournaments sponsered by stuff with big pots.

    Maybe now that it's an MLG game people won't think of it as AS MUCH of a joke (I mean it's by far one of the most depthy fighters).

    I just hope they have a good ruleset (IE something to stop planking. Or else all the MLG tournaments will be is just MK dittos where everyone just planks because of all the money on the line lol).

    Yeah I just found out we're supposed to be getting snow this weekend... again... My dad says the only way we'd be able to do it was if I went over to your house on Friday, and got picked up on Monday. If that's okay with your parents, anyway. Would be awesome to get a ton of Melee practice in, though.

    I remember some people talking about his sliding jab being his best approach, but wouldn't Fireball be really good, too? I mean it creates this long, slow hitbox that allows you to do whatever you want after you use it.

    Oh and did you see that MK planking thread DMG made? Apprently MKs planking is 100% unbeatable...

    So do you think I can go to your house this weekend and we can go to World 3-1? We could do low tier doubles as double Luigi XD (I did doubles friendlies with LuigiKing at TP4 as double Luigi... was so much fun :p)
