For what it's worth, you can complete the VS matches requirement in online battles instead of just suiciding 100 times in a CPU fight. I did 100 For Glory matches and after that, every time I did a regular vs. CPU match, the next challenger would approach.

These are the ones that have to plug into the Wii remotes to work. I like the idea of these controllers, but I don't want to plug into a Wii remote instead of the system since I'd be reliant on AA batteries instead of a direct cord connection or internal batteries that charge via cable.

It's mostly for us with a decade of muscle memory using the controller. Any controller with sufficient buttons that you're comfortable using will be fine.
