    Ignore.

As hinted at above, stay aerial. FF Z-air and U-air, spaced right, interrupt most of ICs. (Of course, Samus common sense: Don't linger directly above them.) As with every other character vs ICs, try to dsynch them whenever possible. MBB to D-tilt or D-smash (staying within the explosion radius)...

Map Station[OP UNDER CONSTRUCTION!]: Delfino Plaza!

About Yoshi's Story: 1. The slopes will cause bombs to shift. The slopes will also cause Samus's drop-from-edge second-jump aerials to autocancel earlier than on other stages. F-air's last few (good) hits disappear, but U-air cancels beautifully. It all depends on whether you can abuse this...

Celestial Archives: The Samus Video & Critique Thread (Updated October 4th, 2010)

Not entirely sure those videos deserve to be put up. LDPK means well, but my p-suit's still subpar and I'm still struggling with most of the basics. xD A couple of points: Match 1: That Wario is actually a Kirby main who was throwing out his Wario for first match. He utterly tooled me when...

Footstool possibilities! *MAJOR DISCOVERY found=vid on front page*

My memory's foggy. Isn't FF-canceled U-air => U-tilt one of the only "true" combos we have? Or does that result in an aerial U-tilt hit?

Dtilt / Plasma Shot Killing Percentages

Not to pile more work on ya, Lance (awesome stuff you doing here), but could you check 1/2 and 3/4 charged plasma shot? Only if you have time and the effort. I'll be doing it myself when I get back to my Wii (2 weeks from now...) See, Plasma shot fully charged results in significant *stun*...

Forward Smash / Bair / UpTilt / Down Smash KO Percentages

I'm concerned about the up-tilt data. If I remember correctly, the angle you get sent at differs depending on when you get hit by it. Like, it sends you fairly horizontal at the initial hitbox (leg extended above her head), but as it falls, the launch angle of the person hit gradually changes...

    Strange Skrew Attack

More like... (total speculation) Ness used PK-Thunder. You used Screw Attack. Hit Ness. Began to rise up. You collided with the PK-Thunder as you rose with the Screw Attack. Those two attacks clanked. Screw Attack canceled. Ness flew up, as he was caught in the initial hitbox of...

Shoot First, Ask Questions Later: The Samus Tactical Discussion & Q&A Thread

Hold on, I'm fairly sure the aerial version of Screw Attack has Invincibility frames at the very beginning.

    Good controll configuration?

Set another button to jump and press it as you Up-B, with the jump input oh-so-slightly ahead of the Up-B. Requires a lot more work than tap-jump on, and if you mess up you end up with the slow, aerial up-B instead of the grounded smex version. But hey, I like being able to do up-tilts on...

Shoot First, Ask Questions Later: The Samus Tactical Discussion & Q&A Thread

Try a missle-cancel into dash-grab/attack mindgame along with the usual SHZ-air, full-hop double-Z-air, etc. Mix up the tempo, doublejump for flavor, it's really up to you. In terms of close down and dirty, lots of people advocate FF U-air to D-smash/D-tilt/Up-B. Depends on the character...

Shoot First, Ask Questions Later: The Samus Tactical Discussion & Q&A Thread

Obviously, it comes with a bit of risk. However, you can choose to go either way at the mid-point of the stage, and Marth will need to outpredict you to actually get there to reasonably PUNISH you if he chooses to stay on the stage. If you're doing this, you'll be bomb-laying sideways at...

Beyond the Chozo Guide: Seven Ways to Take Your Samus to the Next Level**

    Up-B may have a lot of good properties, but that doesn't cancel out its weakness as a slow multi-hit that can be SDI out of. Characters with similar invul-frame on startup aerial moves can even hit us with their invul in the later frames of Screw Attack. <<;

    Xyro(samus) VS Praxis(peach)

From my limited experience, the key in tether-gimp is buffering and out-prediction. When people expect the tether-gimp, they WILL Up-B or whatever earlier--on the visual cue of that drop and blue tinge. I buffer in Down => Grab => Attack (or is it jump? I forget. ^^) to do instant retether.

Shoot First, Ask Questions Later: The Samus Tactical Discussion & Q&A Thread

If all else fails, try going under the stage. On all tourney-legal neutral stages (other than Yoshi's, which is CP in my area), Samus can mindgame going under the stage and coming up the other side or returning to the original side.

    Ignore.

One thing I've seen from facing NC-Echo is that if any Pikmen are latched on to Samus, her D-air will lag from the Pikmen, extending the active hitbox--and then kill all the Pikmen afterwards (Assuming not much move degen, haven't tested with d-air spam). It's not much, but it messes around with...
