I think if you space uair you can beat it but that's hard
I would count it as Fox's dair, just slower and in a smaller range

Well Windrose
uair is basically bigger than Puff is lol

Meaning that you can outspace aerials fairly easy given the chance

This match up needs to be played the same way as Puff/Marth
Puff is gonna spend her whole time keeping you out, and you need to be super patient
But when you get in
wreck *****es

...

how are you going to "space uair" when you're in the middle of getting dair'd by Puff and you're frozen like a statue

You're not answering the question.

We want to know how to escape Puff's dair, which if you haven't noticed, helplessly freezes Falcon (and several other chars) like a ragdoll.

I mean can't you SDI out of it?
That's always been the problem for multihit things like peach/fox's dair, samus's uair, etc

Just slam your control stick multiple times in one direction
Or preferably
Roll it in quartercircles in that direction

so to counter puff's d-throw, DI whichever way puff was facing prior to grab

d-air is uncounterable it seems just gotta smash DI and hope last hit doesn't stun lock you for 50 years

Are those two dairs pretty similar? what about fox's dair and mario's dair?

More importantly, how about doc's Utilt.

i like getting behind them and getting doc with a fullhop bair. falcon is fast enough to hit him when he's still doing the dair and if you space it right ya wont get hit

idk I play with bob$ all the time and his doc doesn't dair as much as dajuans. I just bait crouch cancel and stomp his face. That seriously works way too well against him.

You can't Johnny. It strikes fear into the heart of all.

Dude, you don't need any Doc advice. I'm the only doc you'll ever see in tournament so it's not really a matchup you needa know very well since we don't play that often.

If Doc dairs you have 2 options:

Wait it out and then hit him.

Outspace it with those long falcon legs. Just make sure your uair is out.

when getting waveshined off a grabbable edge

is it better to hold INWARDS or FASTFALL or BOTH to grab the edge?

in a recent string of matches i play i am starting to get shine spiked like its 2005 and wanna fix this quick

What's the point if you don't use it

All of my responses have basically been links I took straight from the Index thread

I do both, inwards then fastfall as soon as Falcon starts tumbling, otherwise Fox can be a homo and shine again, or even dsmash

pretty sure puff's dair acts like a low% meteor when you're standing on the ground so any counters you have for low% falco dair would apply
aka
none or CC and hope the puff hesitates

as you go over the edge, flick down + inwards

...i think

puff's dair combos legit to rest and other goodies after like 44% or so on just about every character in the game so the only thing you can really do is SDI and pray. I'm not sure at what point it starts to link to grab, etc.

since mr. box (him, specifically) likes to up tilt after the dair, it may be worth doing a slightly expanded shield because puff's up tilt hitbox starts as a single dot on the ground; this often pokes underneath tall characters' shields like falcon, sheik, marth, link, peach, etc. which is why it works so frequently on them even if it looks like they've gotten their shield up. so that's also food for thought.

How does everyone know all these things? Dots everyone have and use action replay all the time?or does everyone just know these frame and hit box data off the top of their head?

the game interests me so i learn about it

windrose learn how to link up air and neutral air after you throw people so you can combo at low and mid percents, not just when they're at KO percent
