Salem did well.
M2K vs Otori and Salem were all great matches to watch.

Was definitely better staying at home and watching compared to going in person and spending $500+

Excellent sets for Finals. I think these are, and will be for a long time, the most exciting Brawl matches of all time.

Good job on Salem for taking the crown, and major props for M2K defending the USA with an amazing comeback.

They brought a positive close on this great tournament.

History has been made. That very last set. Man. Had to be the best one I've EVER seen.

ZSS winning Brawl, a brand new Mew2King, Melee was really hype.

Awesome stream and amazing tournament. My friends and I had fun watching all weekend and were at the edge of our seats much of the time. I really look forward to seeing what direction Smash is going to take after this. :)

only 2 MKs in top 12 were beaten by someone NOT an MK player :(

& We got to see the M2K that 3 stocked Brood rd 1 @ Apex 2010

The metagame has changed but... will it be for the better?

And 2 Marths directly below them with 1 at fifth place. Meaning Marth outplaced all Snakes, Diddies, Ice Climbers, Olimars and Falcos.

Also I don't believe a non-top tier has ever won a national let alone the biggest national of all time.

Really is making tier lists look pretty much meaningless.

Salem is the best player to have ever touched that character. Hands down. It isn't even a debate. Item game, mixups, excellent at recovering, and most importantly...virtually UN-PHASED by any situation.

Props to Mr. R for his amazing wins and coming close to adding Nairo to that list.

Shoutouts to Nairo for his impressive placement. Needs to work on his emotions more when things aren't going his way. We all saw what M2K was able to accomplish against the exact same player with a bit of determination.

Just an amazing event, amazing streams, I liked some of the integration between us and the FGC. Props to Yipes for being a classy dude and showing some love for the game/hype.

Thoroughly enjoyed everything.

Uh, I guess to make my post somewhat useful, this tournament was really fun to watch and I wish I could've gone to experience Apex. Something to note is that the stream kept having the names wrong and the player cams were on the wrong side and at some point, Brawl players' names were shown while a Melee match was underway. It also might be nice to have a dedicated Melee/Brawl stream instead of having to switch streams throughout the day.

This was an amazing event with so much hype, Alex really showed he listened to the complaints last year and worked to fix them. Noone knows the levels of salt I have for bring forced to leave before grand finals but next year I won't let this happen again. Congrats to all the competitors and staff for the work they did

You are so ridiculously wrong, this experience was well worth the money

all of this is my opinion btw

But I got to play smashers from all over the world, watch some of the hypest matches in smash history, lose my voice cheering so much for everyone, meet so many cool people, and experience a ZSS winning the most stacked smash tournament of all time.

I guess if youve had enough of the game by now you'd feel that way but i've said it a million times tonight this trip was definitely worth the money.

I think it was an astounding idea to make teams run on Friday and have singles be focused on throughout the weekend.

Also I was stressed that so many hyped matches happened at teh same time but then I realized I could open up 2 tabs and simply watch all the matches I wanted 2 at the same time. I loved it!

I witnessed Zero beat Kkr, M2K beat Mango & Rain bea Dabuz all at once.

Brawl is a hard game to run because it takes so effin long.

Top 8 was like what? 4-5hrs? I see why we coud never be on an EVO stage. Our event would go past our alotted time.

It's not even that. It's because they decided that they wanted to run all of top eight on one single television set.
I mean, more power to them since they had the time to do it, and it definitely generated a ****-ton of hype, but this would've easily ended so much sooner if they just ran things as efficiently as possible. :applejack:

Congrats Alex Strife Mission Accomplished!!!

Brawl Top 8 took 4-5 hrs. Evo would never allot 4-5hrs on Sunday for Brawl.

Apex is catered towards smash so it was PERFECT & it worked.

Salem just saved Brawl and all the gaming scene.

That thing was ****ing epic.

The only thing that failed IMO was not having M2K vs Armada. That would've been epic. Oh well
