And now, for the last moveset in MYM4...

Duster!

Ta da! A surprise moveset!

Duster is a main character in the Japan only game Mother 3. He uses the seven mystical thief arts, Wall Staples, Scary Mask, Tickle Stick, Thunder Bombs, Smoke Bombs, Hypno-Pendulum, and the Siren Beetle. He is the son of Wess, friend of Lucas, Kumatora, and a bunch of others, and, for a little while, Lucky, the bass player in the DCMC.

Duster's special mechanic is a very odd one. His attacks have no designated exact [percentage. They have a certain amount they can do, for example, 3-19 damage, and have a 10% chance of not doing anything and a 5%chance of doing a smash, not a smash attack, but smashing. This makes the attack do 10 more than the normal maximum. This also effects the range of the attack occasionally.

Stances

Idle Stance
Duster stands, somewhat still, swaying very slightly. Rather boring if you ask me.
Walk - 2/10
He walks with a limp, and very slowly.
Run - 9/10
He has no dash, see Down Tilt for details.
Traction - 9.5/10
Nearly perfect.

Crouch - Yes

He does a typical crouch, like Toon Link's. If you press A, he dashes.
Crawl - No
No

Roll - 4/10
This goes rather far, but has few invisibility frames.
Dodge - 3/10
He does a guarding stance. This is somewhat abysmal, just like the Guard in Mother 3.
Air Dodge - 4/10
He spins a bit. Not very good.

Balancing

He swings his arms. Whoop.
Dizzy
He turns purple for a second, and acts dizzy, with head shaking and holdings and whatnot.
Edge Grabbing
Not much to say, he grabs the edge with Rope Snake.
Sleep
He flashes purple, and sleeps.
Tripping
He trips. A Carpet Monster appears next to him, but does nothing.
Freefall
He falls, looking somewhat confused.
Flinch
He flinches, need I say more?
Swimming Stance
He swims rather slowly.
Drowning Stance
He waves his hands, and the Hummingbird Egg appears next to him. but, it does nothing, like the Carpet Monster..

Height - 7/10
Typical realistic human.
Weight - 6/10
Typical.
First Jump - 5/10
He jumps.
Second Jump - 7/10
He jumps off of the air.
Fall Speed - 5/10
Typical.

Power - ?/10
See special mechanic, it's really pretty much random.
Attack Speed - 5/10
Average.
Priority - 7/10
he has relatively good priority.
Range - 7/10
He has good range, with many projectiles.

Hover - None
No
Glide - None
No.
Wall Jump - None
Yes, he's a thief, I hope he knows how to climb up walls. :p
Wall Cling - None
But, he's not a very good thief...
Tether - Yes
Rope Snake (that seems to be a theme among my Mother 3 movesets...)

Attacks

Jab - Siren Beetle
Duster pulls out his Siren Beetle, and it shrieks for approximately 2/3s of a second. This does absolutely no damage or knockback at all. However, it does make the opponent turn around and have a bit of lag, which makes it great to follow up with a down tilt. It has ridiculously high priority, going through almost all other attacks. It has no designated range, sometimes it will have none, and others it will fill up a whole Battle Field platform. It has medium ending and starting lag, and the hitbox, if you can call it that, stays out for, as said before, a whole 2/3s of a second.

Dash Attack - Stop
Duster stops dashing. What? He has no dash, until you go into his down tilt. The only way to stop dashing after that is to ram into an opponent, a wall ,or to stop with this. This has the lowest starting lag, so if you need to stop in a hurry, do this.

Forward Tilt - Kick
... Duster kicks. Oh my. I'm sorry, but it is his bash in Mother 3. So, he kicks. This does low knockback, and 5-11 damage, with the smash being 21. It has good priority, and medium range, and doesn't have bad speed, but has really abysmal damage. Hope for a smash when doing this, you'll need it. It has a rather noticeable amount of lag if it is a miss though, so hope that you don't get a miss.

Up Tilt - Friend's Yo Yo
Duster swings a yo yo above his head. It does 7-14 damage, so 24 as a smash. After this, I'm gonna stop saying smash percents. Just add 10 to the maximum. Now, it does low knockback, and has a high amount of ending lag. It has good range and priority, and low starting lag. The animation is a lot like Ness's up smash, and the yo yo looks identical to that yo yo. Could Ness be the unknown friend?

Down Tilt - Dash
Now, when you press A, you dash. If you hit anyone, you stop for high lag, and they revive 14 damage. However, it is easy to dodge, and has very low priority. It has medium knockback, and high ending lag, but no starting lag at all. If you hit a wall, you get high lag as well. If you press A again, you stop, for lower lag.

Smashes

Forward Smash - Tickle Stick
Like a few others of Duster's attacks, this does no damage or knockback. He sticks out his tickle stick, and is an opponent is hit, They become 20% lighter for 8 seconds. This can stack 2 times, before it stops working. It has mediocre range, and also medium priority. It has low satrting and wending lag. This is only useful against heavy characters, because it isn't really needed for lighter ones like Jigglypuff and Meta Knight. 15% of the time, it doesn't work at all.

Up Smash - Bass
Duster swings his bass upwards, with huge range and 5-12 to 9-17 damage. This also has really high ending lag, with medium starting lag. It has low priority, and does great knockback. This is a very good KO move, but is also very situational. It has a surprising amount of hitstun, and can do the pitfall effect if someone is hit by the bass as it comes down at the exact right time, which takes up only 2 frames.

Down Smash - Scary Mask
Duster puts on his scary mask. This does no damage or knockback, and has no designated range, like Siren Beetle. This has terrible priority, nearly none. It doesn't always work, too. This makes the opponent it hits have less damage on their moves, by anywhere from 1% to 10%. It usually is about 3-6%. This has high lag, and leaves him completely vulnerable from behind.

Aerials

Nair - Peculiar Cheese
Duster takes out a piece of cheese, and eats it. Duster loves cheese! He gains back 8 damage. However, 40% of the time, it's poisoned cheese. This means he can't eat any more cheese until he is KOed. This does no damage, and has high ending lag, but low starting lag. The only way to get away the poisoned cheese effect is with a Fresh Mint item, which makes any bad effects go away for any character. But, this doesn't matter in tournaments, because items aren't allowed then.

Fair - Duster's Socks

Duster throws a smelly sock forward. This does only 1-4 damage, but does high knockback to people in the air and the stunned effect to people on the ground. It has medium high priority, and low lag. It also is a projectile and item, which only Duster or a teammate can pick up and throw. So, it has high range.

Bair - Bass Swing
Duster swings his bass behind himself, doing 7-14% and high knockback. It has high range, and high ending lag. However, it has low starting lag. This is a very useful attack for KOing ,and has a good damage percentage. Don't spam it, btu use it ofter.

Uair - Drum
Duster throws a drum upwards. This isn't a projectile, because it disappears after a second. It does 12-14 damage, and medium knockback. It has high range, and low ending lag. But, it has high starting lag. It can do multiple hits, with those after it doing only 2-3 damage with no smashes. This attack actually doesn't have a smash, neither does Duster's Socks.

Dair - Bass Twirl
Duster twirls his bass below him. This has no smash form, and has 10 hits which do 1-2 damage each. This also can';t miss, nor can Duster's Socks or Drum. This is a very useful attack for racking damage, but it has very low knockback on the last hit. It has high ending, and low starting, lag. It also has great range, and is great to follow up with the Hypno-Pendulum.

Specials

Neutral B - Hypno-Pendulum

Duster takes out his Hypno Pendulum and swings it for a second. Anyone near him and in front if him (they need to be both) are put to sleep. This does no damage, and has great priority, being unable to be blocked with an attack besides with another Pendulum. This has high range and high ending lag when he puts it away.

Side B - Thunder Bomb
Duster throws forward a thunder bomb. It sits for 3 seconds and then explodes with high range. It does 17-22 damage with no smash. However, it does no knockback. It has high ending lag, and you can have 3 thunder bombs out at once. They can be picked up and thrown by you as well. They have high hitstun, and a 5% chance of putting opponents hit to sleep.

Up B - Wall Staples

Down B - Smoke Bomb

Final Smash - A Master, a Father, a Thief
Wess appears.

That looks insanely cool, Tanookie. However, unless I missed it, there's nothing stopping you from just hovering over on the upper corner of the screen, is there? That right there would mess up a hell of a lot matches.

Kawasaki's Cookbook has been updated with a real fancy new layout and some new recipes, contributed by the general public. :bee:

Oh, crap, mah bad. I had originally had something in there about Peter slowly falling if you hover for too long, so you can't do that. But when I began retyping it I guess I missed it.

Firstly, Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to everyone!:chuckle:
Secondly, Sephiroth kicks ***!
Thirdly, congrats to Commander Blitzkrieg.

I decided to not to do Santa Clause, so I just went for the closest person next to him.

Jack Skellington

Description:
Jack Skellington is the Pumpkin King and ruler of Halloween Town, which constantly celebrates the holiday of Halloween. Jack is a skeletonm but despite being undead, he is human than most of the creatures in the town. Jack has grown tired of repeating the same old cheer and looks for something new...he found Christmas. And if you have watched The Nightmare Before Christmas, you know that Jack's discovery of Christmas does not go so well.

Statistics
Height: 5/5 - Jack is pretty tall, due to his rather long legs, and stands just a little taller than Ganondorf.

Weight: 3/5 - Jack is rather light since he is just made of bones.

Jump: 5/5 - Jack puts those long legs of his too good use, jumping rather high when he jumps. His second jump involves him doing a cartwheel of sorts.

Movement Speed: 4/5 - Jack moves pretty quickly his well, taking great strides with each step.

Falling Speed: 2/5 - Jack, despite being a good runner and jumper, he falls to the ground pretty quickly, because he has such a tall body, there is little time to float down.

Entrance: Jack actually has three entrances depending on what costumes he is wearing. If he is in his usual getup, he'll drive in from off-screen on a Christmas Town snowmobile which we'll vanish once he gets off it. If he is in his Pumpkin King costume, he'll rise up out of a well and pose once he fully surfaces before leaping down to fight. If he is in his "Sandy Claws" suit, he'll fly in by his coffin-shaped sleigh and skeleton reindeer, which fly off once he disembarks.
Walking: Jack walks quite casually and looks about as he moves.
Running: Jack moves like a triathlon runner, sprinting at a fast move. He can get to the other side of an average-sized stage in about six-to-eight steps.
Standing Movements: If Jack waits around long enough than he will do two things. One involves him touching a single snowflake as it falls from the sky. His second movement involves him making a scary face.
Sleeping: Jack lays on his back and snores loudly.
Stunned: Jack wobbles about whilst balancing on one leg, clutching his skull with both hands.
Smashed Off-Screen: Jack is smashed off-screen he spins away slowly so he can say "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!"

Standard Attacks
A, A, A: Jack slashes out at an opponent with his hands three time. He attacks with single swipes from both hands and then a downward attack with both. His attacks come accompanied with ghostly purple trails of smoke, just for a nice effect. 6% damage in total, little knockback.

Dash Attack: Jack charges forward at a reasonable pace and then launches a flying kick at an opponent, using his right leg as the main weapon. The attack gives 8% damage but high knockback.

Side A: Jack pulls off his skull and tosses it at an opponent, bonking them in the head. Jack's head reappears on his head once the attack is over. 6% damage, low knockback.

Up A: Jack waves his arm upwards and a blue flames washes over his hand and an opponent if they are in range. 7% damage, low knockback.

Down A: Jack crouches on all fours and performs a low sweeping kick to knock his enemy over. 8% damage, low knockback.

Forward Smash: Jack leans back slightly, both arms outwards in a motion as if he is about to shove something. However, instead he forms a blue flame which fires forwards and explodes if it hits an opponent. 11% damage, high knockback. There is a 50/50 chance that the opponent may be stunned by the attack.

Up Smash: Jack performs an impressive backflip, his legs smacking an opponent as he spins around to land again. 11% damage, medium knockback.

Down Smash: Jack flips over onto his back and does a spinning attack which makes him look like he is breakdancing. His long legs are extended and kick down any opponent in their path. Jack spins three times before leaping back up to stand. This attack works best if there is more than one opponent standing on either side of Jack. 3% damage with each kick, medium knockback.

Aerial A: Jack, whilst in midair, spins around delivers a kick either side of him for a two-pronged attack. 8% damage, low knockback.

Side Aerial: Jack brings out a vampire-like teddy bear which snaps at an opponent. 6% damage, low knockback.

Back Aerial: Jack spins around backwards and wallops an opponent over the head with a monstrous duck toy. 6% damage, low knockback.

Up Aerial: Jack performs a tornado-like move upwards by spinning around in a fast circle with his arms outstretched, creating a line of blue flames around him. 10% damage, medium knockback.

Down Aerial: Zero pops up underneath Jack, the skeleton grabbing onto the ghost dog, and the two slam down to the ground, Zero "exploding" into a puff of smoke. 9% damage, medium knockback.

Grab Attack: Jack grabs an opponent by the throat and raises them into the air to the height of his face - if they are smaller than him, they may be dangled in midair. Jack then smacks them with his free hand. 4% damage for each smack.

Forward Throw: Jack tosses the opponent forwards. The head of a large striped snake bursts out of the ground and catches an opponent in its mouth. It crunches on the hapless opponent for two seconds before spitting them out and vanishing from the hole it came out of. 12% damage, medium knockback.

Backward Throw: Jack throws his opponent backwards over his head, and then spins around on one leg to kick his opponent away with the other leg. 10% damage, medium knockback.

Up Throw: Jack tosses his opponent upwards. An evil Christmas wreath appears and grabs the opponent with its vines, throws them about and then slams them onto the ground. The wreath vanishes when the opponent falls down. 9% damage, low knockback.

Down Throw: Jack tosses his opponent to the ground and then steps back as Lock, Shock and Barrel appear and trample the opponent before running off. 12% damage, medium knockback.

Special Attacks
B: Burning Ambitions - Jack brings out a flaming torch and eats it. He suddenly bursts into flames and can walk around on fire without burning himself. Now for ten seconds, Jack can walk around chasing and burning opponents until the flames die down. Opponents will recieve 10% damage if they are near Jack when he is set on fire, and will recieve 3% damage each time Jack touches them. However, Jack can still be harmed by all attacks, except fire-based attacks which are harmless to Jack until his own flames are gone. Low knockback for opponents.

B Side: Screech - Jack pulls on his skull and makes a rather terrifying face, roaring angrily, a red haunting glow covering Jack's face. The opponent the attack is aimed at will recieve 10% damage for sheer fright, and there is a 25% chance that they will be paralyzed for five seconds.

B Up: Spirit Tornado - This attack is basically a stronger version of Jack's Up Aerial attack. Jack spins up in a circle with his arms extended, only the flames are much larger and stronger and there are also a couple of ghosts flying around as well. This works as a recovery move but the attack can only last so long and if Jack is not close to a ledge of a stage he may fall to his doom.

B Down: Christmas Present - Jack laughs joyfully and places Christmas present. It has several differene items and effects. The most common effect involves the present exploding, damaging an opponent with 14% damage. A second effect involves the box exploding only this time it will either burn an opponent with 7% damage, or freeze them into an icicle for five seconds. The third and final option is a harmless explosion, but the present shall leave behind a group of random items, usually stickers and on rare occasions, a CD.

Final Smash: Parade of Ghosts
Jack cries out "Happy Halloween!" and throws out his arms. A billion or so ghosts burst out of Jack's body and flies about in all directions, although most of them are just there for effects. Several ghosts fly around like bullets and smack opponents around the screen, similar to how Latias and Latios work. The first ghost attack is 20% damage to each player, and each attack from the flying ghosts is 8% damage each. Another form of this attack that rarely occurs is a tornado version made of ghosts that lifts opponents up into the air for ten seconds and gives them a damage percentage of 5-25% damage.

Shield: A group of ghosts shroud Jack is a protective shield.

Extras
Taunt 1: Jack waves at the screen.
Taunt 2: Jack laughs menacingly as he spins around.
Taunt 3: Jack makes a scary face and then says "I am Jack, the Pumpkin King!"

Victory Pose 1: Jack tries to say "Ho, ho, ho!" but fails in his first attempt, clears his throat and repeats it in a deeper voice.
Victory Pose 2: Jack leaps towards the camera and says "Eureka! This year Christmas will be ours!"
Victory Pose 3: Jack spins in a circle and then poses with his arms out and says "Thank you!"
Losing Pose: Jack smiles even though he has lost and applauds the victor.

Alternate Costumes: Jack's standard costume is his usual black and white Halloween Town clothes, which is used for Blue Teams, but he has two alternate costumes.
1. Jack has his Pumpkin King costume where he dresses as a scarecrow with a pumpkin for a head. This is used for Green Teams.
2. Jack has his Sandy Claws outfit, which is used for Red Teams.
Kirby Hat: Kirby wears a mask resembling Jack's face.
Symbol: Jack's symbol is a traditional jack-o-lantern.
Wii Remote Chime: The first few notes of This Is Halloween plays.

Snake Codec:
Snake: Otacon, there's a skeleton here.
Otacon: That's Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King and leader of Halloween Town.
Snake: Never heard of him or the place.
Otacon: That's because you have to go through a special tree to get to Halloween Town.
Snake: What? Otacon, are you alright?
Otacon: Yeah, I'm fine Snake. Jack is a pretty fast runner and his attacks are quick.
Snake: Any weaknesses?
Otacon: He likes Christmas.
Snake: Right...

I know, I know... rice would open up whole new worlds of possibility... But then I'd have to make it a projectile and all, and edit it, like, twenty-five new recipes. I'm already going to have enough trouble fitting in my current 72.

On that note, if anyone else (or those who have already) want to contribute a few recipes here and there, I'd be very grateful. There's so many still to do that I'm probably going to dedicate my next few weeks to adding them, rather than starting my next moveset.

Apparently, I missed the persistent troll! Seems this one went well... I don't expect to see jakedactyl or his many forms anytime soon.

This page numbers thing is never going to catch on is it?

Anyway, its not a bad moveset and the quotes are epic... its just very hard to give Jack all the justice that he deserves... I doubt even Mendez, the eccentric Sandbag could do it.

55) Corn + Mushroom + Hot Sauce = Far-out Stew

Hoo boy. With the poison of the mushroom and the kick of the hot sauce, this makes quite a potent brew! An upgrade of the Trippy Stew, this concoction does 28% damage and high knockback in addition to the polarity reversal. However, it also causes the opponents to become dizzy for a short period of time, after which they will trip more often until a stock is lost. Due to the hot sauce's lingering effect, this brew lasts 12 seconds.

I'm almost done with Hobo Santa's main moveset. If you want, I can spoil Christamas and post it on page 373 or 374. I only have the Final Smash left to type, besides the extras.

Tell you what... if you guys want a special Christmas moveset from me, just tell me what you would like.

It won't be an official contest moveset, but rather my gift to you.

Hmmm. This sounds like a cool Xmas special for MYM. Like you ask a regular movesetter to make a moveset of your choice, but it doesn't have to be done all out since it isn't your own preference.

But to answer your question (doesn't count) it would be this guy:

I was actually going for more of a popular vote type of thing. I want to see what the majority would like to see.

And if that robot Santa is the one from Futurama then that is ****ing win.

Edit:
Clayfighters? Thats an awesome blast from the past. Thanks for that, Spade.

MUSHROOM+CELERY+OREGANO=GIANT STALK:the weapon properties of the ceery is amplified! instead of absorbing foes, kawasaki takes out a celery stalk, grown by the mushrooms, and swings it around like a... hammer! it has the same properties and music (remixed on the banjo) as the golden hammer, with only 7% a swing

Specials

Neutral B - Death Beam - Frieza charges a purple energy beam on his finger, when released it shoots a long, thin and strong energy beam. It can knock opponents off a stage easily and is really effective on high damage opponents. If it it not charged it'll get a 5% Knockback. This attack can be charged for destructive results. Can get through complete stages, it will not stop after hitting somebody.
Uncharged = 9% damage / 5% Knockback / Little Shock Effect
Fully Charged = 28% damage / 80% Knockback / Medium Shock Effect / 5 seconds to be fully charged, can be released during the charge, which will be between these two stats.
Range - 10/10

Forward B - Levitating Explosion - Maybe is it only a short range but it's really powerful. This move comes directly from The SSGoku VS Perfect Frieza battle, when it was used on Krillin. Frieza makes the enemy levitate in the air and then makes him explode. In Brawl, this will not be lethal. It has short range and huge damage. Frieza can be attacked during this move, which will cause it to stop directly.
NO Knockback, 30% damage, Medium Fire Effect, Enemy dizzy for 3 seconds after, lasts 6 seconds.
Range - 3/10

Up B - Flying Alien - Frieza starts floating in the air, can go to any height, it is mid speed, it's a very good recovery. If Frieza performs any attack during this move or his attacked, it'll stop automatically. Lasts 5 seconds. ( Works a little bit like R.O.B.'s recovery )

Down B - Transformation - Frieza got 5 complete forms, and this move can give you the opportunity to use 4 of them! Frieza gets into a little purple ball for 3 seconds, in this ball he cannot move but his like during Ike's recovery, he can be attacked but will not move. he'll get out of the ball by breaking it and being in a new form. Here are each form specific powers :

Second Form : Frieza becomes a lot taller, heavier and stronger, but loses 1% per second in this form. He also has a new power : Death Wave. It replaces Death Beam. It is exactly the same but the difference is that it got a 3/10 range and it is a purple explosion in front of Frieza. It got a 40% fully charged damage and sends the opponent upwards with a 80% knockback.

Third Form : Frieza stays the same height and weight but is still stronger. In this form he loses 3% per second. Death Wave is noww replaced by : Death Beam Fury. It cannot be charged. Frieza releases multiple Death Beams, two by second. He got a maximum of 10 per move and each beam does 8%, for a total of 48%. It got no knockback.

Perfect Form : Freiza gets his weight and height from his first form back but is still stronger than third form. He also gets his original Death Beam back, but this time 2 times stronger. So it got a uncharged power of 20% and a charged one of 55%. He now loses 7% per second. If you use Transformation again he'll turn back to First Form.

FINAL SMASH!!

100% Death Ball

When Frieza unleashes his Final Smah, his current form doesn't change anything. A giant pink and purple aura comes out from Frieza and then he gets into a purple ball, which starts cracking and explodes! Frieza is now pumped up! He's in his 100% Perfect Form! He flies into the air, ( directly over him ) and starts charging his ultimate attack, the Death Ball. He puts one arm, hand and finger in the air and a giant red and black energy ball appears over it. Then a pink dot appears in the screen. You can control it with the stick. Choose a place to launch it and press A. It Can be anywhere! It'll pass throught walls but will go straight forward. It's as big as an Electrode explosion. It has as much knockback and power as Samus's Final Smash. Then he gets back to First form and continues fighting.

Cooler was cool.... Frieza is not. I seriously thought Frieza was an ugly chick when I watched DBZ... then I found out that it was a dude with terrible voice acting.

Anyway it looks like a good moveset. The forms mechanic is clever.
