Bowser, Grab release thread [Flayl is a boss]

Update by next week hopefully : )

I did alot of testing and came up with many grab release's for Bowser, I in no way, copied grab release stuff from other threads, that being said. I'm still adding data, but I have alot of info right now. Characters like Metaknight and Olimar cannot ground escape from Bowser's grabs, they can only jump escape his grabs, however, if Bowser is grab jabbing the opponent and they try to escape as they're getting hit by jabs then they will ground escape from his grab. This applies for ALL characters.

Jump Grab Release: When a character breaks out of a grab jumping.
Ground Grab Release: When a character breaks out of a grab on the ground.

In order to prevent your Tilt from getting power-shielded, do one of the following:
- Tilt the control stick very slightly so Bowser won't walk/crouch before attacking;
- Use the C-stick set to "Attack";
- Buffer the Tilt in the last 10 frames of the release animation.

So giddy to post this you couldn't even look at the top 5 threads? You've been beaten to the punch. I suppose it's not a complete waste though, a lot of those seem to be missing for mrEh's list, namely the dash attacks and the aerials.

lol, I looked at his thread, it has different information, it explains all the ground escape chaingrabs and combos, this is going to have both jump escape and ground escape chaingrabs and combos. and its not stickied so I rather post a thread.

There was some1 that made a similar thread, "The Ultimate Boozer CG Guide" or something.
But as long as it helps Bowser players get better, I see no harm in this. Good Thing Pit isnt affected by many of the things there, unlike Wario..

Edit: Dangit! I wanted my 900th post to be in the Pit section! I might as well go for 1000.

Does Lucas really have more problems than Ness?
No, I still updating thou, give me some time D:

Edit: I just tested Ness again, when Ness is Jump grab released he goes higher then Lucas. So yes, there is a difference of what you can do when you jump grab release them.

Wow, I put the game down for a bit and I come back to learn that Bowser has acquired some significant metagame progress.

Just so I'm clear, all of these are UNBLOCKABLE or otherwise unavoidable, right?

Grab release to down+B should be Bowser's new best killing move, since it works on the majority of the cast...

It's funny: I always thought Bowser would be higher tier material if only he either had some SA or a throw that could legitimately kill and this is a roundabout way of him having that throw.

And for god's sake, someone sticky this! This is something every Bowser player NEEDS to know.

I've never been clear on this: is it a guaranteed DI/dodge or is it avoidable only depending upon damage?

I ask because I've been hit by it and been mashing air dodge but never dodged in time.

I'm still testing the airdodge but its a guaranteed DI if they do it correctly. Downb is alittle weird because u can airdodge it sometimes, I dunno why, maybe its what you said, damage dependent.

If you have AIM or MSN talk to me on there and I can answer any other questions you have, or if you have a theory on something we can both test it.

Im not a real fan of this even tho its extremely helpfull and useful.

I only do it once in a while rarely, maybe for like a game deciding kill. But i dont do it otherwise. I'm against chaingrabbin too lol.
Wario gets ***** by that SHlT lol.

isn't regrabbing after a grab release automatically an infinite or do you dash grab after it. if not there's something i'm not getting.

Its not an infinite because eventually you will reach the end of the stage. Some characters can be infinited with his grab release Wario for one not sure of others, there aren't many.
