Video Game Tournament: SMASH T’ILL U CRASH 3 brought to you by le Comic de Polytechnique

ATTENDANCE FOR NOW : 82

Smash t'ill You Crash 3 is apart of the IMPULSE Circuit. This means that the 1 people from Quebec that place the highest in singles at Smash t'ill You Crash 3 will be awarded venue fee, singles, and doubles to help them show up to IMPULSE.

If two or more people from the eligible states are tied in placing, the tie breaker is solved by who placed higher in doubles. If this is still a tie, or you teamed with that person, then a 1v1, best 2 out of 3 set will happen between those renaming players, and the winner of that gets the prize.

The winners will be registered automatically. If you wish to give your prize to someone else, then you can simply register for them. Hence we register you, while you pay for your friend when you register them, thus indirectly awarding the prize to whomever you may choose to give it too. Therefore if you can not go to IMPULSE, there is a means of transferring the prize. Failure to attend IMPULSE without transferring the prize, results in the prize going to the next person from the eligible states that placed the highest in singles. Same rules apply for the tie breaker as well.

The winner of both Melee and Brawl in Single tournament will win a free entrance to Impulse (40$ discount)
If we are a lot of people, another free entrance for the 2nd place.

So guys, we're thinking of adding a 2D fighter to the game list. With so many popular titles, we need your opinion on which one it should be, please take a second to let us know. Doesn't necessarily need to be the newest game, but obvi needs to generate interest.

Idea, I hope you know how delighted we were to have the Toronto crew in the building last time. :D Needless to say, you guys did pretty damn well! It would be awesome if you could make it out again this year! :D

btw.. Is Sauc3 still playing the game? I recall him saying he was quitting after STYC2.. :/

Oh and guys of course, make sure you tell us what event(s) you're registering for, whether it's melee, brawl and/or 64, singles and/or doubles. Fizzi and Vrud, I'm putting you down for Melee singles only cause I'm pretty sure you guys don't play brawl. I guess we'll be adding a doubles attendance list eventually.

Taken from OP:
This tournament will be THE canadian tournament of the year! Its results will be used to seed the Impulse tournament in Toronto on June 30th & July 1st.

So this is the tournament of the year, yet its only used to seed another tourney?

i have a feeling we'll come down again, we all had fun too, and it's during the summer so a bunch of us should have enough free time...

sauc3 kind of still plays but very rarely. he still cares about the game as far as i can tell, he just usually doesn't go to tournaments lol

It would be nice if we could run a Goldeneye 64 side event, using The-elite.net's Virginia meet-ups ruleset.

I've just received the confirmation about the venue. We got it from Friday 7PM to Sunday 6PM... so we can do a project M tournament on Sunday if enough people wanna participate

Bad news for some, most will not care.

Once again, the 2d Fighter event, which was shaping up to be SSF4:AE, will unfortunately not happen. I kinda ****ed up, forgot about M.A.T.IX (Mtl's annual major 2d fighting games tourney) which is on the same exact 2 days as us.. As much as I was looking forward to this, it's just a side-event and I'm guessing it would've had a poor attendance anyway.

So, sorry guys.. I'll most likely be bringing my PC, so get@me for SSF4:AE (or any other capcom classic 2d fighter) casuals and/or MMs.
