We're always interested in Mookie shirts, but this is probably going to be a small regional tournament. I doubt you want to waste your time and effort on such a little shindig, but if you do then rock on!

Zjiin, I'm very familiar with the codes and I can change hitstun on a moment's notice. I agree with Mookie, though. 10% was just a tad too strong, and 5% is a pretty significant decrease from that. We'll be playing with it more, but 5% should be plenty fine. If anything, it might need to be increased.

MK should be a bit better at 5%, so we're not banning him. I think he deserves a chance in Brawl+.

Well, I'm still messing around with Illustrator trying to come up with an interesting logotype :-P. If it won't be as large as I thought then I won't bother making shirts, but I'm bored so this is giving me something to do.

Maybe you should make Brawl+ T-shirts that can be sold at any Brawl+ tournament. Make your own logo for the game and then you won't need to worry about copyright laws :D The back of the shirt should have one of the longer codes sprawled out across it, lol.

Making a shirt for Brawl+ is a good idea. I gotta do that sometime soon. Lots of moneys. I need to take an illustration job to fund the purchasing of shirts though.

Anyways, check it out, I made a type poster:

If you want it in 300 DPI for printing I can email it to someone.

I know a guy here in town who makes t-shirts, so if someone comes up with some good logos, then send 'em to me and I can get some quotes. That logo above could work as the front of the shirt.

I actually have close ties to the company that does shirts and other printed goodness for NASA and Disney, so I have that covered :-P. I used them to do the FC-3 and FC-6 shirts.

Hey Kishes, how about you guys wait until the new codes for Dash Dancing and Shield Stun come out? Test it in a bit and THEN see if the codes deem to be worthy of being in the tournament.

Now the biggest problem I see atm is the time constraint. I dunno when the hacker will actually be able to make this code.

You mean... delay the tournament until new codes come out? Is there a reason to do that?

This tournament is for Brawl+ as it currently stands. If new codes come out by the time our tournament happens, we might be willing to include them. But waiting for Brawl+ codes that may never happen doesn't make a lot of sense... maybe I'm misunderstanding though.

Also, don't forget that Melee will also be played ^_^

Brawl wavedashing isn't good. Unless this version 2 is different then the one I have, it makes shield dashing incredibly hard. I would rather see the game less floaty then it is.

There ARE gravity mods for that but... it doesn't help vertical KOs much and buffs horizontal KOs like crazy. It also nerfs jumps and Up Bs so, it's like Heavy Brawl EXCEPT you can modify the quantity by how much gravity is increased. I think the floatiness mostly comes from the physics engine itself combined with stale moves, higher short hops, and not nearly as fast fast falling.

Anyway... in short, the floatiness issue will be fixed either by making changes to fastfalling, short hops or some other stuff would be changed. However, right now, Phantom Wings (teh hax0rz that has made most of Brawl+ possible) is out of a Wii right now and thus, cannot make any codes for a while (for how long we're not sure).

Also, KishSquared, make sure you're using the right PT codes and not the Independent one (where if you select Charizard, you're just Charizard) as that can... corrupt the save file (albeit, it can be remedied with the My Music reset codes or just recopying the save file from the SD Card to the Wii). Use teh stamina and no force death codes on PT... I'm assuming you already are but, just makin' sure. :p

Oh yeahz, I hope to see Brawl+ vids from this tourney too, I want to see how the matches turn out and stuff since I can't go (out of state + can't drive there = fail). I hope the turnout is good for both events as well...

All in all, I is keeping mah eyes on dis thread!

Depending on how long it takes to get Brawl+ figured out, perhaps a survey to discuss whether or not to play a hacked Brawl would be a good idea. I really would hate to have only a week to even try to experiment with the specific hacked version that is played.

Thanks for the input, Falco. Are you not able to attend then? Also, I don't have those PT codes. Where can I find them??

Also, discussing Brawl+ will no doubt happen a lot at this tournament, but the success of the game will be determined by attendance and popularity of Brawl+ tournaments. I've always been a firm believer that the community decides what works and what doesn't by attendance. If Brawl+ fails, it will be because no one wants to travel to play it. If it works, it will be because attendance at Brawl+ tournaments take off.

In other words, we can discuss it all we want, but discussion won't determine the validity or non-validity of competitive Brawl+. It will be the success or failure of such tournaments that do so.

So if you want Brawl+ to be competitive, come to this tournament!! And bring your friends, too :D

I'm just curious...

Is there now going to be three parties of Smash?

1. The Melee Party
2. The Brawl Party
3. The Brawl+ Party

You can find them here in the first post. Also, yes, I cannot attend unfortunately (I would if I could). Hope the turnout is good though, we need Brawl+ to take off. D:

Edit: Another new code came out for you guys to add to the set that make characters more viable! Here, at least, Ness, Lucas, and Wario anyway.

We're locking down the venue currently, which may come down to us hosting it ourselves. Also, Prime should be posting codes soon... PRIME POST THE CODES!!

Who all is coming for Melee?

Rawrizard and 8% hitstun? I would seriously consider raising it to at least 9%

Also make sure that Dedede's and Falco's CG does NOT work on those settings or else having Shadow Moses Island on could be ugly.
