Alabama Thread! (10/26/2016 update)

i want to host a tounrament in the basement of my residence hall.

but the people there (including myself) are out of hand and the basement is our communial spot of social activities which means there is always alot of crazy things going on and alot of crazy drug usage, gay sex, drinking, sex, etc. etc.
thats how we socialize.
so im assuming not everyone wants to be around that while playing smash hahahaha.
really, college isnt that bad.
it's just my residence hall.
its pretty bad when im the most tame person in a whole building full of people.

January 30th- AU tourney

I'm willing to bet getting enough money to go to all of these back to back will be pretty tough for me, and the community but wow this would be rather amazing if we could handle this financially and have the time. It'd be the best smash month AL has ever had lol.

I can't smash today as I have other things going on, but here are the details:

Friday
1:30-2:00 = Pick up George and Zero
2:00 = Pick up Kola, start driving to Memphis
~6:00-7:00 = Arrive at Jack's new apartment
11:00 = Go to Pizza Inn

Saturday
~5:00 AM = End of tournament, return to Jack's for sleeping
~12:00 PM = Leave for Hoover
Before 5:00 PM = Drop off George

Official Decision

After talking with my mom and showing her ALL of the contact information I got from the people willing to help she decided that I will NOT be going with you guys to memphis tomorrow. She will not be calling any of you or talking to you in person. I'm sorry I really wanted to go but this ended up being too much for her right now.

So with she promised my brother and I permits (lol it takes this to make her go get me a permit).
it ended up being more than I though, had to pay for my brothers because he had no money so in total I just spent $56 ._.

The other good news
Is that she has a totally different opinion about the smash community! Thanks everyone for that I would be willing to help out in anyway after I get some more money

As an addendum to my previous post on details for the trip: bring blankets and pillows and any other sleep accessories you may require. There are some pieces of furniture for sleeping at Jack's place, but mostly it's hardwood floor, so plan accordingly.

I'm experiencing some... rather difficult circumstances with my parents so there is a high probability that I'll have to bail on INNsomnia as well.

But that doesn't mean I'm not allowed yet. I'll have the answer tomorrow, mslano.

bringing a book or books is by far the best way to make a trip go by faster

presuming it is a day trip.

you guys post alot. i have 40 posts shown per page and there's still like 3 new pages everytime i log on here. thats why i always respond to **** like two pages late.

speaking of which. im also pretty good with older folks. surprisingly older people are less quick to judge a person by how they look.

i think sheik and donkey kong is the only characters that I like better in brawl than in melee.

oh and of course kirby.

i like to pretend that kirby isn't in melee. because i mean basically he's not.

guys in all honesty i think the main reason I don't do well in melee is because of my poor technical ability. i consistently press the buttons incorrectly throughout all of my matches causing my character to do dumb stuff that gets me killed. i believe that if this wasn't a problem i would actually be competitive at this game.
