move* seems more appropriate in this case.

y y y with an occasional upheave.
omg I forgot about that

Ben had the most amazing Soul Calibur run ever, he had never played the game before and annihilated some veterans just by button mashing

There was one round where he was like three hit from dying and he hadn't even hit the other guy once yet, and he was pinned against the edge and then he prayed to the gods and won in 2 hits

the screaming

omg the screaming

I only came to practice wobbling/handoff in a tourney setting, and with that much lag nvm. Moe wasnt even going to go to the tourney he only came because i was there. we both realized that we just wanted to talk to each other so we both went home together on the train. I actually wanted some serious practice yesterday and i didnt even play any video games. i came home really sore and now im sick:(
im glad there was some fun last night
edit:not going to host tommorow anymore i dont think, need my energy for school
edit2:mru does have crts, they just didnt know. ill probably volunteer to help next time so it gets setup on time ect.

So the tournament sucked, but I walked away with 72.50 dollars worth of undeserved prizes so I guess I'm happy

:phone:
Whatever happened to that splitting idea lol

so the 2 smartest people today were moe and clarke

tournament was a big bust and im tired and i dont want to ever go back to mount royal :132:

our melee@evo celebration was a big fail :(
On that note... why didn't we just go downstairs to the bar?

Yea tournament was mega boring... and we didn't even have time to go to the casino.
I feel like we gotta redeem that trip a lil. We should take all the free hours we won at switchbox, all go at the same time, and all play a big game of Left 4 Dead
Sub out left 4 dead for battlefield 1942 and I'm down.

hahaha jackkkk hahahah
Adventure time.

Come on, grab your friends.

Yeah the tourney was not up to standards, but it's there first time so I'll let that slide. Plus we want more tourneys and events, so we should do our best to make it happen. As long as they have CRTs, we can do the rest.
Yeah they're just a club gathering for fun, they never had the intention of running even close to a serious tournament, and 50% of the people who showed were just there to chat and play card games, I think everyone should realize this wasn't a smash event lol

I had fun.

wow, i would have thought karma would give the door prize to someone who donated the most to breast cancer, life so fair.
Well, we made a plan to keep everything together and put it towards stuff for my tournament, but somehow the hype of arthur and simon getting called out made that not happen.

Dem draws'

Can I join too?

Ben had the most amazing Soul Calibur run ever, he had never played the game before and annihilated some veterans just by button mashing
$10 Soul Calibur 5 MM Ben.

I'm working on a collaboration with Dara as we speak so hopefully things can just... be better for smash.

edit: I'm sure she'd love your help, the club is always appreciative

In other news I ran into 4 people I haven't seen in 5ish years on one day. I knew them all from seperate causes too.

First off, anybody remember Ricky? Oooold school smash.

and of course, I worked with Dara years ago.

GGs today everyone, I think I left before singles ended but I think it was stevo vs jack?

And sorry for ****ting the bed against you stevo, I played horribly and I also played the cheap end of that matchup. Next time I promise I'll switch it up to marth or something else and I'll try not to chokesiez

White and proud.

Keep repping tyler.

Edit: To avoid people thinking I'm racist, it's because white people have no tech skill

Brad's racism on blast, just be honest about it.
also unfound racism as the majority of smashers recognized for their tech skill are caucasian

I actually was prepared for this, until I remembered Forward was white.

Well ****.

Needless to say in the immediate area of calgary, Asians got tech skill, white people have Marth

edit: Is there anyone who isn't white or asian who doesn't play falcon?

brad, you should update food in your tourney thread.
abdi and moe are the only non-white/non-asian people in our community and both are somewhat in active

Dude you didn't miss much, I guess some people were confused when you left.

First thing I heard was "HD TV" and saw you guys leaving I was like, yeah ok. Figured you just went to play at your place.

Man, falcon is so cool.

As for updating food section. Sure thing, I also need to take some pictures of the venue, I just wasn't entirely sure what food was there besides 7-11, the little strip mall area didn't have good signage when I drove by

I still don't get why 100% mask runs start with ruppees and ocarina

I just posted in this thread http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=333409&page=4
this post that applies to calgary melee players

I would like to take this opportunity to fire shots at alll those calgary players who do not bring setups and just sit down and play every week. If i didnt bring my setup almost everytime you guys wouldnt even be able to play melee half the time. Ben, daniel and I consistantly support this community and alot of calgary players take for it granted. i cant remember the last time i went to FGCC where anyone else else has melee, memcard, or game cube.
c'mon people

^That application most directly implies bringing TVs/setups to my tournament on the 16th.

come on people

no actually it states its application quite clearly. It actually addresses the fact that without a few dedicated individuals this community would dissolve quite quickly. If you have been in this community for a long time or just joining there is no difference, everyone needs to step up if this community is to prosper including you brad. You need to attend more FGCC and smashfests if you want to be a leader of this community. you cant expect everyone to all of a sudden put in lots of effort to come to your tourney to make it a success and not put in effort to be present in the community. There is literally breaks of more than a month where you are absent. most of us go to school and get our homework done so we can attend.

on a related note i will be hosting this sunday, PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT TIME WORKS FOR PEOPLE

shotsfired.

Been busy working on the business side of things so I can make things like tournaments possible.

Dropping cash isn't something everyone can do, and I've had to invest properly to do so.

Believe me, I'm here for the community, =P you support me, I support you.

edit: Also I hosted smashfests, just for smaller groups since well my house sucks

edit: I'm just putting up my reasonable defense because hey why not
