Genesis 2 will happen. No concrete info exists as it's all just been talk, but assuming there would be enough entrants to cover costs it would probably be Melee only. Last I heard they were talking about end of summer or in the winter.

Why just melee? Genesis had amazing turnouts for both melee and brawl.

I think because dbr plays melee. If they were to include brawl they would be looking to fill the entire venue that they paid so much for/to scale turouts - which is what they did the first time.

brawl people in norcal didnt bring set ups to genesis
nobody in norcal [worth caring about] seems to play brawl
pound shows that you can get 300+ for melee without the same attendance from brawl

cuz these venues are hella expensive.

Think of it as 10 a day...if you do thats way cheaper than most anime conventions!
