Approaching with a Ganon... In need of help.

i usually play w/ friends of mine at a bit higher skill level than me, one plays as fox/marth, the other as bowser (note: hes pretty skilled with bowzah), and playing the shortest time on ganon than they did on their characters, i am able to hold my ground and win occasionaly.

I realize you have won tournaments, but even you have to agree, you wouldn't really have a "good chance" at winning MAJOR tourneys like FC, OC, or MLG tourneys. Definitely not if you went all Ganon (though I know you don't/wouldn't). I respect you.

This is the only thing I have any response to. I would never doubt my ability to perform on a mass scale. Just because I haven't been to a major tournament doesn't mean I wouldn't have a chance there. I don't know at this point. I would have more than likely taken Linguini's place as Ganon on the FC South Team had I gone to FC. So it's more, to me, about what I go to and not what I've been to. Just because no one's done it doesn't make it out of reach.

Anyway, back to approach methods.
Rather than finding a way to approach, why don't you try to get the opponent to approach you in a desired way? For example, against another Ganon, stand patiently and wait for them to approach with an Fair, and instead of shield grabbing, dash away and pivot a side-B. Next, depending on their percentage, you can combo with a Bair (easiest) or a Dair (combo continuing).

This man speaks the truth, a player with good mindgames owns no matter what character he plays. There is still always that certain characters are better than others and that is why the best play the best characters. For example, if Chaddd or Tipman(if he still played) would play Fox/Falco/Marth as seriously as Ganon, im pretty sure they would **** more than they already do.
Yes any character can own....to a certain degree. Imagine you´re playing against m2k´s Ganon, he 2 stocks you. Now you play his marth, he 4 stocks you.

The approach? it has been said many times here, fair and ftilt, wavelands and stuff. Just be smart and you´ll do good.

LOL, Let's just see here. I go all Ganon in tourneys and ALWAYS break at least the halfway point. I'm well known in Wisconsin, and am one of the better players in the state. I also attended a 107 man tournament, with MANY good players, used solely Ganon, broke into brackets, placed 17th. Pretty **** good for Ganon.

I don't try to make myself look better, you dumb****. I simply say when people are wrong. If they can't handle it, well that's their problem (and yours apparently). And you never say anthing. I wasn't looking to start anything. I was just saying Ganon doesn't own. I have no problem with anyone in particular, it's people who don't have their own opinion/say stupid things (and are being serious when saying them)/people who say things and give no valid reason why they say the things.

Heh, I never really had a problem with approach...it's tricky vs Marth to me but besides that like, the only real problem I have with Ganon is his inability to defend himself from combos and edgeguards.
