Boost Grabbing - Do it.

Test DK and Bowser for me, I forget which it was a yes for. (pretty sure its a yes at least)

Wario it doesn't matter, we have grab release nair's, utilt's, and c4 stickies and better crap on him =p (although how sweet would that be if we had an infinite?)

Also, are you testing on humans? CPU's are ******** and will make you think you had a yes when you really didn't..
I test humans if i think it might work, so i only tested fox with a human.
I'm going to test DK/Bowser tomorrow, it's 00:45 in germany and I don't have anybody to test here right now xD

I'll also test Fox again and confirm it.

Test through all of snakes ugly match ups first please.

And in reference to the candy an d havokk argument eariler-You both bring up good points, but what candy needs to reealize is that refreshing your moves is very useful, and EVERY HIT COUNTS. If you do this for the extra 10%, then END with a dthrow, or however you want to do it, thats just as extra 10%, plus your moves aside will now do more damage and kill eariler.

You cant overlook small things like that to help you out.

Trust me, the CPU's are decieving. Test Link, you'll say "oh, that works" then you try it on a human "wtf? He can jump out?" If you can, test everyone with a human...(something I don't have) however I can help you a bit.

I'll test everyone who can't jump (or can't jump sooner then what Snake's grab looks to be) and give you that list, because that will narrow down who you need to test. ;)

No vid because I expected everyone to know what the boost grab is.

And the CG stuff came later (sort as of a "oh yah, you can CG Falco" thing
Tried it really cool thing, not just for the CG. On FD you orientate oneself to the lines on the bottum to JGR into DThrow "infinit" x)

The first tries i forgot that i have Y to Grab und Z to Smash XDDDD

Now i do it thus: Control Stick to Side -> release the CS -> A and then immediately after that I press Y (1 Frame or so xD)

@iRjOn: maybe you do it right but you dont see the differnce, it looks like he would do the normal dash, but directly after start to dash he grabs und gets a boost. Not x2 differnce I think but he gets 1Snake further xDDD

If I see it or can picture it being done I have a better chance of doing it.

But yea everytime I grab too early
cause I either dash attack by grabbing too late,
Grab too early resulting in a dash grab.
or I accidentally motor slide cause of my mind set

I havok I tested with a friend and it seems if the MK jumps and air dodges Snake misses completely every time, unless I'm not frame perfect *shrug*

Tested a little but cannot confirm 100%.
Try doing a dash>shield for extra range or something>grab, atleast it seems to work for me against MK!

We need someone to test the different effects DI, aerials, etc. have on the CG.

You can't DI grab releases, grounded nor air.

Aerials have no effect, but if they come out soon enough they may hit Snake (eg; MK's nair)

There is nothing else to test, because so far it only is confirmed for Falco, maybe Fox.

showing the falco cg and not the cg near each other is a great way to demonstrate how much farther snake grabs. Nice vid

Here are some characters that I recommend testing on to see if it's inescapable:
Ganondorf(Easy)
Wolf
Fox
King Dedede
Squirtle
Sheik

Please note that I am not choking at low percentages.

I tested these using Level 9 CPUs, but I don't have human player to test these on now.

OK. BTW,
Zamus, Sonic, Pikachu, Charizard, and DK can jump away to escape.

Something about doing this on Squirtle feels satisfying. I don't know why.

i didn't know about this, but this is pretty cool lol

basically you just press down C and Z at the same time and it works, for those of you having trouble with it
=[ why did m2k have to find out. now we can never win! NEVARRRR~!!
(remembers nobody telling m2k how to get out of Grab release usmash from azen XD)


btw how good is this in Dthrow tech chasing?

Those of you having trouble, try this. I learned this because of Falco, and it works for Snake too. Do a foxtrot (start your dash, but immediately stop it.) Once Snake starts to step forward, push the control stick in the opposite direction, and press R+A at the same time. Basically, he should take a step, turn around, and slide while grabbing.

Dash -> Control stick backwards + R + A

Boost grab lenght has nothing to do with DACUS lenght guys.

You can't chaingrab MetaKnight with it. I did a lot of testing and he has like two frames to escape and use Up-B
