The melee dodge code listed in this thread seems to freeze for me. However, when I use the code that comes with the text file in the soft-mod thread (http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=199810) it works fine. The game freezes as soon as a dodge is used. I also have L-Cancel, No Tripping, and 1.1125 gravity mod on P1 and P2. I haven't tried just the isolated dodge code though.

This happen to anyone else?

edit:
Upon isolating the code, nothing freezes. I'll try stacking codes one by one to see which combo seems to freeze for me.

Try it alone (the air dodge code in the first post). It may be the Gravity code interfering with it (I doubt it though). 'Cause I know L-Canceling and No Tripping both work fine with it.

Alright, it seems like combinations of codes freeze the game for me. For instance, if I have all 3 codes on, the game will freeze in certain situations (can't determine the exact scenarios though). If I add p1 and p2 gravity to this, the freezes as soon as a match starts. However, If I then take off melee air dodge, the game will run completely fine.

I'll try some more different combinations when my friend gets by to do some testing.

Omg have you guys tried IC with wavedashing? They will become the most technical and destructive characters on the face of Earth O_O

Seriously! When Popo is on the ground recovering, Nana can do an Fsmash then return to Popo without having to travel back!

The desynch on them is ********!

Haven't tested it yet. Supposedly he can adjust the amount. Happy combos.

According to my testing Heavy Brawl seems to work with added hitstun rather very well but the recoveries of several characters end up sucking =/

Simply put, we need more hitstun by at least 60 frames.

Okay when we talk about what combo we pulled off let's specify:

- What character we used
- Who we inflict the combo on
- What gravity setting was it on
- What damage ratio

So that way we can understand what's the best setting for Brawl+ to work with.

I like this hit stun tbh. It doesn't change as much to the game, combos are still doable, but not 64 doable.

Captain Falcon to Metaknight.

normal gravity and damage ratio
Metaknight 80%

C.Falcon Dthrow to Knee = dead Metankight at 80%.

Combos are still hard to do. I haven't found any really good combos at low percents. The only Character I've been able to combo with is Falcon. Don't Forget to post your combos.

Very bad idea atm. Until no-knockdown hits are made DIable this would be a disaster, and the game would become flooded with new chaingrabs and ******** single move spam combos like Sheik's f-tilt lock.
So, in other words, hitstun is good enough the way it is?

Phantom Wings is a beast, always working hard and coming up with new codes. I wonder if we create problems for PW by asking him to do things once though impossible?

I only wish that some of these codes would be allowed in Tournaments, just to make it a bit more competitive.

But they won't even allow the no-tripping code... :\

But these codes do look awesome.

I honestly believe it is fine the way it is. With S canceling and hit stun, it gives the same feel as brawl but is slightly faster. Ganon, Falcon, Ike, Bowser, Link, and others become much more viable with the simple addition of those two ideas. (Actually scratch Link. Poor guy still can't recover.)

The only problem with S canceling is that Snake and D3 are pretty much borked. G&W may also be busted depending on how fast you can chain turtles. However, I need better play testing to figure out some of this stuff. Oh yeah, dthrow to knee is love again with Falcon.

Something isn't right with the hack. Movement doesn't feel right at all anymore. I can't quite put my finger on it, but but what this hack is supposed to do is barely noticeable at all. The major thing I noticed is Captain Falcon can't stomp anymore. I don't screw that up hardly ever, but I can't do it at all now.

This hack is buggy.
After playing around with 30 mins, I think I realized even more how much trash this game really is if adding hacks doesnt really help.

There appears to be too much **** flinching going on. Not enough moves put ppl in the tumble animation let alone soon enough for combos to be effect. By the time moves put you in the tumble, the knockback on those moves are too great for comboing effectively. I think the floatiness affects that a lot also.

So it would appear that the hitstun code actually helps you time the air dodge better than without it and it would appear that we need more hit stun or less flinching or something. These are what i noticed, I may be wrong.
