It might also help opening 2 instances of the file in Soundtrack/Audition/Goldwave/Audacity/whatever, and keep zooming in on the start and endpoints that you think would work until you've found the point where the waveforms are exactly the same. Then just choose a point. That's what I did when I first started.
I just take a screenshot and have an open paint window with the start point when choosing my endpoint.

Also: All of The-Truth's stuff have the wrong links, they keep taking me to a new account on mediafire and asking me to upload files.

On your converter? Cause I can't edit any BRSTM's with it...
Are you using the editbrstm.bat?
It's just like the normal converter except it lets you edit the song before it finished converting it.
During the conversion it should say "edit song.wav" and "press any button to continue"

It drops the new file in /brstm

Edit existing BRSTM's. That's what I wanted to do, and this tool doesn't let me do that...another reason why it needs to be put in BrawlBox...

You guys know that the latest BrawlBox lets you open a BRSTM and allows to you save it as a WAV file, right? >.> I mostly do that for adjusting volume issues of other BRSTMs.

Filetype not supported every time I put one in
hmm... I just tested it on a fresh XP install and it works fine. It also worked for everybody I had test it.

If you wouldn't mind, copy the 2 files below into the converter folder, drop a brstm on run.bat and send me output.txt

Is anyone else having these problems?

Yes, but I find that using my converter is faster and easier.

I just copy all the brstms I want to edit to the converter folder and run it.
The first song automatically opens in Goldwave, I edit it, save and close, the converter remakes the brstm, and the next one opens in Goldwave, repeat.

Wow, thanks. Now I don't have to turn the volume down every time certain songs play.

Actually I think the loop points are shown with a sample number, not that its necessary w/ brawlbox, so redoing loops aren't so much of an issue.

Gonna do some more music soon.

It tells you what the starting loop point is, and I guess BRSTMs cut off any part of the song after the loop, so you know exactly what the loop points are. I've heard that Brawlbox normalizes music though, so I'm wary about using it to create BRSTMs.

Edit: Why wouldn't it be necessary with BrawlBox?

Did you drag and drop an existing brstm on to the run.bat.?
If you did, it seems to be something wrong with your operating system, which I can't really do anything about.

More F-Zero X awesomeness. This time it's the Guitar Arranges.

F-Zero X - Climb Up! And Get The Last Chance! [Guitar Arrangement] (1st part) By Hozu - DEMO
F-Zero X - Crazy Call at Cry [Guitar Arrangement] (1st part) By Hozu - DEMO
F-Zero X - Dream Chaser [Guitar Arrangement] (1st part) By Hozu - DEMO
F-Zero X - Drivin' Through on Max [Guitar Arrangement] (1st part) By Hozu - DEMO
F-Zero X - Endless Challenge [Guitar Arrangement] (1st part) By Hozu - DEMO
F-Zero X - The Long Distance of Murder [Guitar Arrangement] (1st part) By Hozu - DEMO

Btw, what I mean by 1st part is the intro part than the first "loop" in the demo (except the first one). I did it that way so it played similar to the originals because well... I like it that way. And it's much harder for someone that doesn't have much looping talent... If you want to redo it yourself... check out the demos. Oh I didn't do Decide in the Eyes because I just didn't like that one. If someone else wants to do it be my guest. Same thing with Staff Roll and the other one (I think it's Grand Prix Victory?)

Edit: Until the first page is updated/new thread made can someone post which post the first page coverage ends? Any songs posted after post #1064 aren't on the first page it looks like. Some people may want to sift through any posts after it to see what's not on the front page yet.

1064 is correct. I posted shortly after that to say everything up to that point was updated.

Did you drag and drop an existing brstm on to the run.bat.?
If you did, it seems to be something wrong with your operating system, which I can't really do anything about.
Works over here, must have just been the crappy computer I was on

Good, just wanted to make sure nothing was wrong on my end.
It actually does the same thing as BrawlBox, puts out the song as song.wav and lets you edit that with another software...so, it still would be helpful if Kryal could just put in a way to edit preexisting brstm's without having to redo them as wav's, convert again, you know what I'm saying? It would save us a lot of time

Hell, add a field where it shows who made it, and I'd give you all my brstms as well!
Of course, Like I said, it's not finished. I plan on having a "Creator" field and a "Date Added" field.
I had somebody request a genre field, would this be useful or would it just be unnecessary bloatage?

No, it'd be useful, so they can "thank the maker", so to speak. I was just kidding about the stealing your idea thing, I'll give you all my BRSTM's too, all 375 of them

The problem is that this might end up like the two Wikis before it. It's a good idea, and I like the amount of information, but I'm not sure it'll last.

Edit: Genre is unnecessary unless we mean by "Video Games, Anime, Movies, etc." I wonder about the amount of people who are actually sure of what genres are what.

It's hard to define a genre of a numbered BRSTM if you have no background on the song, for instance, a title theme
