I just take a screenshot and have an open paint window with the start point when choosing my endpoint. It might also help opening 2 instances of the file in Soundtrack/Audition/Goldwave/Audacity/whatever, and keep zooming in on the start and endpoints that you think would work until you've found the point where the waveforms are exactly the same. Then just choose a point. That's what I did when I first started.
On your converter? Cause I can't edit any BRSTM's with it...Forgot about edit function...
Are you using the editbrstm.bat? On your converter? Cause I can't edit any BRSTM's with it...
Edit existing BRSTM's. That's what I wanted to do, and this tool doesn't let me do that...another reason why it needs to be put in BrawlBox...Are you using the editbrstm.bat?
It's just like the normal converter except it lets you edit the song before it finished converting it.
During the conversion it should say "edit song.wav" and "press any button to continue"
It drops the new file in /brstm
um... yeah it does.Edit existing BRSTM's. That's what I wanted to do, and this tool doesn't let me do that...another reason why it needs to be put in BrawlBox...
Filetype not supported every time I put one inum... yeah it does.
You must be doing something wrong
hmm... I just tested it on a fresh XP install and it works fine. It also worked for everybody I had test it.Filetype not supported every time I put one in
Yes, but I find that using my converter is faster and easier. You guys know that the latest BrawlBox lets you open a BRSTM and allows to you save it as a WAV file, right? >.> I mostly do that for adjusting volume issues of other BRSTMs.
Wow, thanks. Now I don't have to turn the volume down every time certain songs play. You guys know that the latest BrawlBox lets you open a BRSTM and allows to you save it as a WAV file, right? >.> I mostly do that for adjusting volume issues of other BRSTMs.

Did you drag and drop an existing brstm on to the run.bat.?That's the output.txt, what am I doing wrong?
@RedX, that's nice, but is practically starting over again
1064 is correct. I posted shortly after that to say everything up to that point was updated.Edit: Until the first page is updated/new thread made can someone post which post the first page coverage ends? Any songs posted after post #1064 aren't on the first page it looks like. Some people may want to sift through any posts after it to see what's not on the front page yet.
Works over here, must have just been the crappy computer I was onDid you drag and drop an existing brstm on to the run.bat.?
If you did, it seems to be something wrong with your operating system, which I can't really do anything about.
Good, just wanted to make sure nothing was wrong on my end.Works over here, must have just been the crappy computer I was on
It actually does the same thing as BrawlBox, puts out the song as song.wav and lets you edit that with another software...so, it still would be helpful if Kryal could just put in a way to edit preexisting brstm's without having to redo them as wav's, convert again, you know what I'm saying? It would save us a lot of timeGood, just wanted to make sure nothing was wrong on my end.
That's GREAT!!!Quick question. How would a site like this be for organizing brstm's?
http://brawlbrstms.50webs.com/
No, no, no. It's not for personal use. It would be a site for anybody's BRSTMs.That's GREAT!!!
Very organized, very neat
I might wanna borrow that idea for my own BRSTM's
Hell, add a field where it shows who made it, and I'd give you all my brstms as well!Quick question. How would a site like this be for organizing brstm's?
It's obviously not done, but it's a good start. Very easy to add songs to. I've got a database that it reads off of.
http://brawlbrstms.50webs.com/
Of course, Like I said, it's not finished. I plan on having a "Creator" field and a "Date Added" field.Hell, add a field where it shows who made it, and I'd give you all my brstms as well!
No, it'd be useful, so they can "thank the maker", so to speak. I was just kidding about the stealing your idea thing, I'll give you all my BRSTM's too, all 375 of themOf course, Like I said, it's not finished. I plan on having a "Creator" field and a "Date Added" field.
I had somebody request a genre field, would this be useful or would it just be unnecessary bloatage?
It's hard to define a genre of a numbered BRSTM if you have no background on the song, for instance, a title themeThe problem is that this might end up like the two Wikis before it. It's a good idea, and I like the amount of information, but I'm not sure it'll last.
Edit: Genre is unnecessary unless we mean by "Video Games, Anime, Movies, etc." I wonder about the amount of people who are actually sure of what genres are what.
I like that idea. The recommendations would have to be by the maker, though, unless you wanna listen to 381 songsMaybe there could be a stage recommendation section or something. Just maybe.
This is exactly what I think they mean.Genre is unnecessary unless we mean by "Video Games, Anime, Movies, etc."
Then it's probably more recognized by TV, but some songs should have bothThis is exactly what I think they mean.
Should we list songs twice if they're both from a TV show and a music album?
Now hold on, is this looped?Metroid Metal - Intro By DQP - DEMO
no it's not, it's been shortened though. i use it as samus's victory themeNow hold on, is this looped?
If not, all of metroid metal has already been done.
