LOL @ you guys thinking you're as close as MD/VA. I know NY/Northern NJ go to most of the same things and so does PA/Southern NJ, but to say it's all one big region that always plays together like MD/VA does? Gimme a break.

i play with all the south jersey players all the time cause theyr in my crew, but theyr horribly innactive. except a couple of them are a bit more active in melee. some of them just went to spoc 8

loljkThe problem is as of late, there is literally 0 drivers in PA. Rush was one and isn't driving to things for a bit, and Truth was another but he just moved to NJ. Thankfully public trans is a very easy option for philly players as we can get to all the major venues in NJ and NY with no prob, but we can only do it so much without running out of money :/
You saw what yes posted of the last DSO, it was a PA tourney but had a bunch of NJ in attendance, and a couple of NY (normally we get some more NY like NinjaLink and such). It was also a Sunday tourney, not everyone was able to make it out.
Just look back in the history of smash. Go look at crews for Pound 3. MD/VA was a region, and Tristate was another region.
Philly/South NJ being a region makes 0 sense at all. I just got done saying how inactive there are. We hardly smash with them.

Tristate was a single region in Melee because they weren't strong enough to be a threat separately.
NJ went to DSO because they were in MD the day before and it was on the way. The rest went because it was looking like a large-ish tournament and there was nothing better.

And do you really need to team up all the best Brawl+ players on the East Coast just to take on a weakened MD/VA? Because we're the only other crew coming. Or do you just like meatriding that hard?

We only needed one player back in melee. His name...was Mootookang :D
The NJ that went to MD was Inui and Atomsk. They went back to Inui's house and I picked them up from there. The rest of us went because we enjoy the PA community alot. Rookie came all the way from NY for it.
I went for Brawl+ and the chance to team with Atomsk.
Don't hate on Chibo he's legit. Probably a better ROB than you
And it's not that we need to team up all the best brawl+ players on the East Coast to take on MD/VA, it's just that the good brawl+ players here are all better than MD/VA anyway

For the purposes of this tournament, having tristate altogether would be overkill, especially if MD/VA isn't showing up full-force.
I'm perfectly fine with NY/NJ being its own entity, or even just NY. And Yes.
