I really doubt Sakurai cares.
As long as we are enjoying his product, I don't think he cares. We could fornicate with it and he wouldn't care.

I think to Nintendo in general, once a game's released, it's done. They never really update their games, so they probably don't care that we are. They'll still try to stop homebrew, but only because homebrew can enable piracy, not because of us.
