But what difference does it matter whether they spot dodge a missile or if they sport dodge nothing? At least with a missile you have a better chance of getting a reaction, or a chance of them messing up their reaction and getting hit. And either way if they do try to avoid, you can follow up.

so i play alot of different characters, but samus is now one of my favorite. shes just got such a cool playstyle. its almost all about counters and punishing. i also like the fact that she can break shield pressure so easily. her combos arent great but if you know how to play her then she GETS OFF. and shes in a space age metal suit, so that makes her even cooler. i was watching wes play a match from a long time ago and he got off with samus. she needs to be played more

samus still requires some work in project M, but she is harder to code as she has a restriction on her file size so we developed a work around for it, but its a bit time consuming. She will get attention to pull herself into feeling 100% melee-like in the coming weeks so that missile cancels, missile FF cancel, and a few other items of hers get coded in properly. Hold tight

Great meeting you too. And Zero knew the matchup way better than most Marths, and was quick to catch on to things he initially was clearly not used to. He was definitely a lot of fun to play because of that, and I'm not particularly confident I'd win if we ran into each other in tournament.

I want to play IHSB again. He beat me pretty bad at Genesis and im looking for revenge at RoM if he's going. Playing all these 7 minute matches with Hugs has gotten me pretty gud =]

I've taken a month break due to school and played with some friends last weekend...

I've lost all my progress.

i didn't play for two months
came back and i was better than i was before lol (at least i think hahaha)

this was after like playing for hours + nap in between

what i'm saying is you don't lose it (the progress) from a couple of months

at least not in my experience

actually every time i've taken break periods (like a month or so) i've always seen improvement when i got back to the game

maybe it gives you a (sorta) fresh new perspective? i dunno

also i think when you take a break you lose some of the habits you've fallen into, which helps you to re-adjust your playstyle to be more effective vs. the people you fight

So Darrell, you know how you bomb waveland as shield pressure?

What if you bomb wavelanded on the other side of them? Then you immediately started jab/tilt shield pressure at their back, where most characters have bad OoS options. No shieldgrab from marth(getting Marth to shield is a whole other story...", no USmash OoS from Fox, etc.

pretty cool matches. i noticed he was punishing you for throwing out moves a lot. also, you tend to go in the air a bit much. samus doesn't need to initiate in the air.
one last thing, focus on always watching your opponent and only your own with peripheral vision.

other than that, your tech skill is good. keep at it
