there are a lot of things to factor into the category of 'rust'
matchup knowledge, counters to specific strategies, having habits, messing up tech skill, etc. etc. etc.

watch the match, and decide for yourself

i'm sure everyone who loses a match can tell you ways they could have played it better, what happened happened, the only thing that matters is what happens next time

so the question of 'were you rusty' seems kind of pointless, he lost, he recognizes that he lost, and i'm sure he's planning for the next time they fight so he can win
