Physically. :3

Rampardos can't abuse Stone Edge / Head Smash with Encourage? At least Nidoking has STAB Earth Power. I dunno. I guess if you want that mixed Encourage sweeper Rampardos is a good idea.

haha

well in terms of my team

almost everything can beat reuniclus with brute force LOL

offense in general is quite good vs reuniclus... unless the other team is trick room offense. trick room offense = very good. getting ***** by slowking and reuniclus all day. gotta keep chandy alive to ohko them before they TR ahhhhhhhh

i always think of the bw metagame in terms of my sun teams LOL!!!

honestly my dw sun team is one of the best out there

but i think it would be even better if i focused more on featuring heatran or volcarona. too bad they are SOOOOO UGLY!!!

its easiest to contact me via aim or vm.

20th is pretty good. i havent played PO in a while due to school, so idk if my team has kept up with the metagame (im like 60th right now) but hopefully i'll be a challenge.

LOL. sometimes it does

unless i'm set up.

ken, loom, cloyster can all ohko it if they're set up sooooo... it doesnt get at my team THAT hard

my team has much harder counters. like latias.

lol.

overall my team is pretty godlike if i have offensive momentum.

things like thundurus twave screw me over though. its such a legit pokemon. roobushin can come in on stuff too. but its okay cuz i love dat conkeldurr and i dont mind losing to it.

So how's the metagame shaping up with all these high stat boosting moves floating around? The last time I played pokemon online, about a month ago, I was destroying pretty much everyone with my sleep powder/quiver dance/baton pass venomoth.

I actually got bored which was what made me quit for the month... :(

hehehe. i'm getting more into experimentation lately. i'm working on a paralysis-spreading team featuring an end game sweeper in galvantula.

featuring BUTTERFREE @ compoundeyes
sleep powder, stun spore, substitute, whirlwind

preview of my team:

dragonite @ multiscale - sub dragon tail twave roost
ampharos @ static - thunder wave discharge cotton guard light screen
donphan @ sturdy - stealth rock rapid spin earthquake ice shard
jirachi @ serene grace - body slam, wish, ice punch, iron head
butterfree @ compoundeyes - sleep powder, stun spore, substitute, whirlwind
galvantula @ compoundeyes - thunder, electro ball, charge beam, bug buzz

electro ball is 150 BP vs pokemon with less than 1/4 of its speed. 120 if their speed is between 1/4 and 1/3 of its speed.

dnite, ampharos, butterfree... these pokemon are godlike at spreading status.

all lefties

i made a Gen 1 NU/RU team that's fun to play with on PO

butterfree/arbok/persian/rhydon/flareon/omastar

ironically the best sweeper is actually butterfree. sleep powder/substitute/quiver dance/bug buzz. idiots give butterfree the opportunity to set up, and it can come in on walls and sub+QD while threatening sleep powder on dangerous foes.

edit: chok get at my team. let;s go LOL

150 BP Electro Ball doesn't actually hit that hard. If you're going to paralyze their entire team, why not use something like Chandelure, Pory-Z, Rampardos, stuff like that?

Now that's not fair.

elec ball *****.

anyway, wave, the reason i built the team was so i could think of a cool way to use galvantula :)

experimenting is always good though! i discovered that cotton guard ampharos can fit on a lot of different teams and paralyzes a lot of ****, especially scizor

paralysis is the best. it's my favorite form of hax, bc even if they switch out, they're at 1/4 speed and have a 1/4 chance of doing nothing. if i win games that i should've lost due to full paralysis, i thank lady luck.

i also like crits hahahahaha. crits are the reason i never play full stall. the longer people stall, the more likely it is that i will get some good crits.

i'm starting to appreciate ampharos as one of my favorite pokemon in this metagame because of the +3 cotton guard. i thought whimsicott was good with it... but ampharos is better

i wonder how bulky flaaffy is... LOL

ROFL. that would be an interesting battle. pretty sure i would TAAAAAP

edit: wow. sub + sunny day heatran >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ninetales

i mean, as far as carrying a role in weather wars.

discharge and lava plume are among my favorite moves in the game now haha. 30% chance is so huge considering how many you can usually fire off

i'm running a modest
o
252 spa/252 spe heatran with sub, stealth rock, sunny day, lava plume

lava plume burns hella ****, especially tyranitars. wayyyyyyyyyy easier to find switch ins compared to ninetales, which can give a free sub. ninetales keeps taking stealth rock damage in maintaining weather, whereas heatran just has to stay in and GAIN hp while using sunny day.

heatran is pretty boss man

i enjoy the NU metagame right now

i can put three birds on a team with a diglett (dugtrio OU lol) and sweep after weakening regirock. the only thing that ****s my **** up is that stupid giant water fish, i really need a counter to it lol

offensive cryogonal is pretty fun, i might make a team centered around using it in OU. 105 speed is pretty neat, it isn't like anything else good is at that speed already /looks away from mienshao

I need 2 more pokes for my rain team, I've had success with Volcarona, Dragonite, Rotom-C, Empoleon, Mienshao, Jirachi, and Azumaril. Yet i get to 1100s on the smogon server and I lose back down and I can't seem to figure out why. I think it has to do with my team ends up electric weak, Latios weak, or Landorus weak.

i don't play much anymore but how the **** did you perform well with volcarona on a rain team? that thing hates rain like it has a phobia to it

but rotom-w is really good on rain teams, dragonite is really good, most steel types benefit from it

best bet for your team would be running:

Rotom-W @ Choice Scarf
Levitate / Timid
252 SpA / 252 Spe / 6 HP
Hydro Pump
Thunder / Volt Switch
HP Ice
Trick

This is a very good revenge killer, especially in the rain. Using Volt Switch makes him a pretty good scout and Trick is there to ruin support pokes. He is also bulky enough and has pretty good synergy with the team

and i can't find a second pokemon that would help but i know rotom-w is great

volcarona works on rain because it has hurricane, and can also adapt if the weather is changed to sun. it is counter-intuitive but i've seen it work as well.

its 50% damage from stealth rock is the main thing that has kept me from using it more. on its own, it's fine in any weather.

Volcarona works in the rain.
HP:water helps him against some of his usual counters.
Hurricane is too stronk.
Fire Blast is a great tool against opposing Ferrothorns.

been playing again ever since B2W2 news haha.

i have a new team

basically rhyperior, lucario, and 4 ghosts. so fun!

the idea is lead rhyperior, stealth rock, and attack. all spin blockers, and luc is there to sweep and keep momentum so they don't get spinners out anyway. if they have something water, i got jellicent to absorb it. because if you're not a water type, there's no way in heck you're gonna OHKO rhyperior. (well unless you're latias/latios, but those things are gonna get ***** by ghosts anyway, especially after using up draco)

ghosts have so many cool trixies that i can win with this team even if i don't know what the metagame is like anymore. shoutouts to focus miss

concept:
sprite - OLD SAGE MAN, the main guru that you fight in hg/ss
rhyperior, my favorite pokemon with DEM DRILLS
jellicent to water absorb
gengar, sub hypnosis + attacks
SD lucario
spiritomb - taunt/wisp/rest/sucker punch. checks soooo much stuff.
scarf chandelure, my other favorite pokemon

i'm tired of lilligant/cloyster/ninetales combo haha. tired of weather wars in general. trying something new and cool. LET'S GO GHOSTS!!!

edit: man i'm getting wins against pokemon and teams that used to hella scare me before. LOL. ghosts are amazing. this is probably the coolest team i've ever made. and that old sage sprite is amazing.

this team is surprising me haha. dat ghost/fighting unblockable offense is too good.

Replace Spritomb with Sableye, tbh.
Use subdisable with Gengar.

Also other Gengars poop on you :v
Also you have only one Poke that can take Outrage, that's Lucario.

Just a few quick observations :3 You die hard to Dragonite especially if they carry Fire Punch, and he's second most used haha.
Also none of your spinblockers top Starmie. Especially in rain. Quick sweepers kinda poop on you overall.

Okay so I have a question.

I have a slot in which I want to use a Dragon Type.

Now I was thinking about it the options are Salamence, Dragonite, Haxorus

Salamence: Relatively Balanced, 130 Attack and high Sattack. Good Speed and decent stats through.
Dragonite: Nostaglic, decent stats through. Lowest Attack and Speed of the 3
Haxorus: Huge attack and good Speed: Lacks hp and defenses

Now Despite being a huge Dragonite fan I figured Salamence is for the best, any thoughts.
