I'm not 100% sure about parking on campus, but I think it's free on weekends. I know for a fact that places around campus are free on weekends, so worst case scenario is that you have to walk a few blocks.

Oh, and be aware that the traffic in Austin is god awful, so keep that in mind when you're planning your arrival time. Especially if you're coming from 35
