4 stock, 8 minute limit
Ties Broken By Lives than percentages
Items Off
Advanced slob picks-Loser may choose the next stage or elect to go random, then winner may choose to change characters, then loser may change characters.

Knock-out-Each person knocks out one stage for the entire match. This stage must be selected at the beginning of the match, after initial characters have been chosen.

Double Blind Pick- may be called at any time. It's when you secretly tell a person your character than the other player does so and than the guy will reveal what characters you told him and than you have to play by those. Prevents counterpicking characters except advanced slop pick.

Dave's Stupid Rule-No stage may be used twice in a single match, either by random select or by picking

Life stealing is allowed



OTHER RULES

Controller Mods are allowed

Turbo or programmed buttons of any kind are BANNED. You may use third party controllers that have these features, but if you are suspected of using the banned features you will not be allowed to use that controller any longer.

Use wavebirds at your own risk! High Risk of interference I Will assign numbers (channels) to people (depends on how many people bring wavebirds)

Tactics such as Peach's wallbombing and Jiggly's rising Pound are allowed ONLY AS METHODS OF RECOVERY OR TO MANUEVER AROUND THE STAGE. Using them (or anything similar) to excessively stall a match, such as dropping below levels intentionally and stalling underneath, is banned.

Most importantly BRING YOUR OWN CONTROLLER

Glitches used to stop your opponent from controlling their character or freezing them. (Mewtwo's Soul stunner, the Ice climber freeze glitch), or any glitch or trick just discovered or old that freezes the match or makes it in any way unfinishable are BANNED. Using them will result in the immediate forfeit of the match.

If you are disqualified you will not get a refund.

Try to keep language clean

If you bring drugs alchohol or act in disorderly conduct I will escort you out of the building and won't let you back in. But were smashers...were like freakin care bears people!! Not my quote but don't remember who said it.

I'm doin everything possible to advertise. So far it seems roughly ten people are coming. Mind you half of the people are from my home town.

I changed my mind. Termina is open only for doubles. Enjoy.

Don't forget about making the flyers and putting some up at the high school. I know the players aren't up to our level but at least we will have more people to play and there will be more prize money.

I'm interested in coming to this, but Dubuque is quite the drive to make alone. Is anyone going through Dubuque, or possibly leaving from Cedar Rapids/Davenport? (I could get to those places.)

I'm glad it's five dollars per person but I'm not sure if I'm going to enter teams because I don't have a partner. Also we need to have a group meeting to vote on what cd's of mine I'm going to take the the tournament and play. Since we are a democracy I thought we could vote on which ones I'm going to play. I'm free friday so we can have the meeting then.

Ok as you might have seen on the front page I need set ups. I know a lot of you are worrying about the attendance and I don't blame you but. If st louis goes that will be like 5 to 6? Illinois...viper and if you could get as much people as you could from like the champaign crew? I don't know who they are T_T. Or like charleston....I don't know any smashers from there either. But if you could do that I would appreciate it. I might have 4 people from a town in missouri. Iowa Cedar Rapids+Iowa city = 4 people Earthbowser plus anyone else he brings cuz i asked him to. Debuque hasn't gotten bakc to me yet are strongly showing interest. And i'm guessing like 1 people from there too. And my town i have 6 people guaranteed. Oh. and I put a bunch of F**** flyers everywhere! Even at gamestop where sooo many people go. So there is going to be more people with flyers.

the champaign crew doesn't really exist anymore and is a little out of my way anyway. if i come, i'll probly only bring one other guy with me, my doubles partner.

i know you're putting flyers up and doing everything you can, but it's hard at your location to get a lot of people.

i'm not promising i'm coming, but if it picks up in the next week, i'll be there.

CHECK first post everyday. At the bottom I have all the confirmed set ups and PEOPLE. Hopefully it grows!!! haha. If worst comes to worst and it's only iowa i might think about making it free and it becoming basically a smashfest. But that is LAST RESORT.

I could bring an other set-up the only problem is I only have one copy of smash so if someone feels uncomfortable about bringing a full set-up COULD bring just a copy of Smash(and a memory card preferably). Oh and by the way I should have pictures of the place tomorrow. I hope this weather doesn't stop you guys from coming.
