OU Tournament: The Land Before Dreams (Completed! Congratulations to Xonar!)

It’s been quite some time since we’ve had a solid, successful tournament in the PC. As a result, UltiMario and I are working together to host this tournament. Since I’m not exactly an expert in competitive Pokémon, UltiMario has made up the rules, and I’ll be hosting the tournament. With this tournament, we'll be looking into Dream World and the ancient remnants of the OU metagame for inspiration.

Rules:
-Tournament will be 8-man. You CAN sign up as a replacement if there are already 8 people. Replacements still get the Tournament Participant Award.
-Rounds will be Best 2 out of 3.
-Tournament is DOUBLE ELIMINATION
-Inactive members will be replaced. If you don't think you can make the match, just say so. You'll still get the Tournament Participant Award if you have to drop out (after the first round).
-Report all matches in the thread, by BOTH PLAYERS. If there is a dispute, logs will need to be provided. If there are no logs, then the match will either have to be replayed or the match will be decided with a coin flip.
-If any user breaks the banlist, you can either just tell them to start over, or claim the victory for that match but not Round.
-MAKE THE DEADLINE FOR YOUR MATCH.

Excadrill is currently banned, even while using an "old" ban list because there are severe problems dealing with him without Sun or Rain. If people think otherwise, he'll be unbanned for the tournament.

However, it's a good point to add Meloetta, Genesect, and Keldeo to the list JUST IN CASE lol. Same with standard clauses. Geeze people are bad at assumptions.

Due to points that have been brought up, the rules have been updated. A few new banned Pokémon (Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect) and a list of clauses has been added.

Also, as far as TechniLoom goes...all Dream World abilities are banned. Check under the banlist again.

Why are dream world abilities banned?

It's like a tournament theme. When tourneys used to be common, we did a lot of themed/gimmick tournies instead of real one. Experiment with the metagame.

Also I know a fair amount of people that have said "Dream World Ruined Gen V" and such, so I thought this would be a good way to get them somewhat interested.

Hey Firus, I'm not sure if you noticed what I said in my post before entering the info, but I was merely signing up as a replacement. :\

I know it sounds weird to do, but I'm not so sure what the next month or so is going to be like for me so I'd rather play it safe. And the participants reward doesn't even interest me, to note.

Well, and there's the whole thing of me only playing once altogether in the last four to six months. I'm kinda rusty.

Okay, here's the bracket.

First replacement is Circa, then Majority, then alberto.

Round 1 is from April 15th to April 22nd. Matches must all be completed by 4 PM EDT on April 22nd. (Just using that as a marker since it's about 4 PM now, and that gives you almost exactly 7 days to complete matches.) Get in contact with your opponent and set up a time.

Be sure you review the rules, both players post the results once a match is finished, and let me know if you won't be able to complete a match and we can put in a replacement.

If you've tried setting up a match and your partner hasn't responded or followed through with an agreed time, at least post here like Bing did so I know that you made an effort.
