No one here is going to feel like ponying up $10 for a normal monthly event, but I might be able to talk our regulars into $5 brackets. Linkz beats everyone here, one time I knocked him into loser's bracket early in a tournament.. then I got knocked out by Magic Magnum (Sonic) and Saffy (Luigi) who traveled here for the first time that month. He still ended up getting first place. If we get the match recorded, I'd contribute $2 to the pot for a Linkz vs Lux epic 3/5 match of the century. I'm too poor to give more, though.. that's about a quarter of what I make extra in a week.

What does everybody want to do for the Melee entry fee? I know CoMo is coming and KC guys are probably gonna come (minus SB - he'll be at G2). So we can either do free, or anywhere between $1-$5. Also please opinions on doubles as well?

For guys in my crew: If you CANNOT afford the entry fee and are deciding to NOT play because of it....please speak with me first. I would by far rather front $5 for you to be able to get the experience than to watch you sit out. With that said, I'm not made of money and we all know I have a family to support so please let me know ONLY IF you 100% FOR SURE cannot come up with $5-$10 before the 16th. That's less than a dollar a day.

Anyways, in my opinion I'm fine with doing another $5 for singles and $5 per person for doubles. That means everybody would need $10. Please post with your opinion because we have very little time to decide.

At this point, I think the elo's are accurate enough to qualify people to play in an amateur. If so, we would probably make it a U950. Meaning anybody 949 and below could enter. IIIIf you wanted we could do U1000, but I think there's some good players in the 950-1000 range that would benefit more from playing in the Open. Of course the open is available to anybody that wants, regardless of rating. $5 per team is good too. Wish more people were in here posting their opinions though lol.

EDIT: On second thought, maybe a U1000 is the best idea since there's only a handful that are U950. However, if we run the amateur at the same time as the open, I'm going to severely push Terrence, Nathan, Drew, and you Terral to play in the open. Here's the current list.

You don't need to ask him if you don't want to just yet. I'm sure we can handle that the day of because I don't want to generate unnescessary hype since I'm STILL waiting for my damn work to schedule me. At the very least, let's wait until I let you know about my schedule, at which point if I'm free I'd be glad to MM him.

this might be a disappointment, but i'm just going to scrap the rest of the vids from last pathways since they're so outdated by now and everyone seems to improve fairly quickly. but the good news is i will be uploading the vids for this upcoming pathways the day after (ain't doin nuthin sunday) for sure. so if you want some of your matches uploaded, play it on our setup. plz make sure you put your tag on so i won't have to guess/find out who it is

Correct, in that this is a disappointment =/ I was really wanting to see my vids with Atma and G. Vice. Are they corrupted? If you don't want to upload them....what about emailing them to me?

Yes and yes. I used 'em...but I can't remember if Atma or G. Vice did. One is Marth vs Peach, other is Marth vs Ganon.

That should be fine. I'll step up and get melee going so Terral can get Brawl going asap. I know there are some players traveling (like Lux) so there is a chance you'll miss out on something...unless they're fine doing friendlies until you get there. You should try your best to get there as early as possible though.

They should be. We usually wait a bit before starting the actual tourney anyways. Besides, this is my one year anniversary for attending Pathways. Brawl can't start without me. Lol. Like I said, I'll see if I can get there any earlier.

Usually I'd agree with you, but I managed to get some wifail matches in between last Pathways and this one, so I won't be as rusty as I usually am. Yeah, it's wifail, but it's better than being 100% rusty.

But level 9 CPUs don't play like real players. Honestly, for training using CPUs, you're better off using level 5 CPUs. They're more player like.

Wifi players maybe. All level 9's do is spam. Unless you're playing noobs or wifi, then it's a waste of time IMO.
