LOL
Hey, so you say this new thing works on fast fallers? >=D Some of my friends will not be happy soon.

Oh, and a question about the wario one. It only works when you at the edge of a platform, but NOT the edge of the stage? At least for any character. Just need some clarifying.

Edit : Oh, and we SO need a vid for this other thing if it works out. 8p

Stealth im sort of confused, the other guy said your Dthrow needs to be diminished a little, which makes sense because in fresh training I can only do it to 80% on wario on the same BF platform you were using.

Didn't you say 100? or 120?

This doesn't make Pika any better vs Wario, especially if you need to catch him early on and keep Dthrow stale. Near the edge of a platform. With your back to it. lol.

But it is an interesting find. I might start testing DI myself against this.

I actually remember finding something like this with falcos chaingrab (like on a platform the first one was normal but then you would throw them down and they would just stick there just like this one) but I forget which char it was on.

Thats because attacks cant get stale in training mode ;D

Hey, TheHulk, WNY's local DK player was the one who was doing this on the live feed. He was bored and forced san to be Wario so he could mess around. He finds lots of little stuff like this. Glad you found it interesting. :)

so he was the one who found it? ill give him credit then. the fact of the matter is though that it opened a line of thought to a particularily devastating cg that we are testing out right now, which has the potential to turn one bad matchup around.

Heh heh, it changes it a bit. Pika has a DAC reverse grab, so this is the first time it looks like it might actually be of some use to help set this up. Plus theres some CP's that have a good variety (and odd) places you can use it. Granted it is situational.

Fthrow to DAC Reverse grab? Most likely not the most inescapable but it'd be pretty sweet, too bad it doesn't work on regular ledges too.

Kinda sucks for Wario since stages with platforms was what helped him with his grab release problems lol.

omg, this is... amazing.

If it goes past 50% this will make Falco's match up so much better. And since we can CG him to the ledge, it shouldn't be hard to set up.

Have you tried Fox yet?
Chaingrab to the ledge, and downgrab until 60+%.
Unless they can DI out of it, it's a near perfect kill on FD.

We already 9-1 fox with a CG to 70% + usmash already. Pointless to test fox.

So who falls at the same rate as Falco?

The example shows it leading to 45%. Does it continue?
Also I think we need a list of stages that works on as well.

BTW this is an AWESOME find since these new "ledge/edge" tricks give us the option to completely shut down two higher tier chars. Especially Falco. :bee:
I'm afraid I'm going to go grab crazy next time I play a falco and get punished... ;_;

It goes to 90% on Falco???

I think we need to change to pika:falco matchup ratio...

Pikachu might surpass Falco or DDD in terms of CG'ing if we keep finding these discoveries. XD

Indeed, as long as we can pull it off consistently.

Granted, even I was able to get it a few times, and if I can do it.... ANYONE can do it, lol.

Hopefully... (in my case) it won't work on Ike >_____>;;

Someone test MK now! (Since his fall speed is... half of Falco's)

I have a feeling that the Falco thing can be made much easier to do, possibly by making use of the DAC grab. I'll try to figure it out later today when I get a chance.

^This = ****!!! If we can grab him :/

Since DI doesn't seem to do anything, this is totally worth practicing/implementing even if it's uber hard.

@K 2 : DDD's CG is one hard record to surpass. But we can still have it as our goal.

5ive should TOTALLY put this in the part three of his pika vid guide.

It has always been good to be pika. But now it feels real good.

And remember to test Shuttle Loop out of it >_>, at least there is no invincibility frames on it in the air.
