I'm going to take a look at Katakiri's GHZ stage. The platform gets a little slanted at one point, and I might try re-doing the animations so everything is nice and flat at all times. It'll be better that way, I think.

I don't think Project M is "officially" at Otakon, but if you find Thunderhorse or cmart they might have it in their room or something (actually I'm not sure cmart has a room).

Just stumbled upon the utlimate rebuttal to people in other (fighting game) communities who complain about this mod for the sake of being a mod.

Known in Japan as Street Fighter II' Turbo: Hyper Fighting, this version (originally released in December 1992) was believed to be developed in response to various unauthorized hacks of Street Fighter II': Champion Edition that introduced ridiculously fast gameplay speed and crazy new special moves.

http://www.giantbomb.com/street-fighter-ii/62-1795/

Without modders doing their thing, we might not have gotten a faster edition of Street Fighter II. But like those SFII mods, the goal of Project M isn't to get the creators attention. It's there to bring more options to the table, and potentially, more fun.

Well I guess that was fun test around characters. I do like MK and Ike.. of course Ganon isn't even a question. lol. Bowser is a huge monster. MK can't DD for some reason though, but even with his nerfs with tornado and Up+B, he's still amazing, his priority is still above any melee character lol =P. But man, it's really hard to try some of the new characters with different physics..

I guess I'll update PF Metaknight. Although I'm pretty sure I updated very recently.

And thanks Kage for trying a bunch of characters. It's always good to have different input. We'll play again probably after Smash till U crash. Of course, I have fun as well.

I noticed you loved to play direct and confrontational characters. next week I got the anime con and the week after a tourney, so if we're not all dead the week after these, I'll invite you again. I'll try to get better too.

And viewers, how did you guys enjoy the stream commentary?

Ehhh I went to Otakon for anime sorry. : ] Trying to babysit a PM set up would've drastically decreased my con experience.
I was at the melee setups for a bit on friday tho, and even talked PM for a little bit. I was impressed with the reputation of the project - it seems there are a lot of people waiting on us to deliver, and I hope we fulfill their expectations.

Yeah, I was only at the Melee section while waiting for the dealers room to open.

Played like 4 games around 12:30 1:00. It was fun, though. Played some good people, talked about some Meleh.

Am I open to answer questions if there's any? I mean the videos are already there so I don't see how I can't talk about the game a little?

Well if so, i'll take questions. =P

Well, you played a few times against Olimar, Wolf and Lucas, any thoughts one them? Do you think there are balancing issues to deal with?

Also, you played a lot of Metaknight and some Ike, how do they feel to you?

We appreciate any feedback of course. :p

Oh and Ryoko was asking if you were hot.

Because of how sensitive the community is to anything that radically changes a character, whether they are from Brawl or Melee. When Bowser was "accidentally" revealed a whole year ago, people generally reacted negatively and there was an uproar of 10 pages worth..... of thoughts on a character that A. was not even done and B. had not been proven to be "broken" at that time.

Also, the more we talk to you guys, the less we get done. Just the way it is.

Also, Kage, I would appreciate it if you did not talk about characters we have openly said that we are not willing to share. Just because there's video of them (in this case the stream) does not mean you can go into specifics. VBlade should already know who we can't talk about at all. :p

Well not sure which characters I shouldn't be talking about?

Well.. I think I'm pretty sexy myself but what I think about myself is not what others think of me.. so I mean it's really easy to look for me if you really want on youtube/google. lol. So if you REALLY want to know then you can do that. lol.

MK feels really nice imo, he's really solid overall and I can see him definitely high tier at least. His priority like I said is still better than anything of the melee characters. I know A LOT of people wanted to theorize how MK would do in Melee? Well, I think he would do really well even with the Tornado and Up-B nerfs. Other than that, he's still ****, I like him a lot honestly. He definitely doesn't feel overpowered since his recovery has less options now which I think is fair to nerf lol. He has good options off grabs and hits on the overall cast and I think he's still going to destroy fastfallers easily. His grabs on fastfallers is really really good, downthrow/fthrow. Umm.. not sure what else i can add really. One session is generally not enough to make a proper judgement of character but from what ive seen, hes good.

Ike feels really good too.. a character that has been buffed just like Bowser giving them both more options is really nice. They both feel like they can **** really hard if you play it properly but I can't really see them both top tiers however... but definitely not **** tier. Honestly, there's not many complete **** tier characters so far so it's interesting to see for real. I mean I'm a character specialist type of player so trying out new characters for me feels a bit odd since I'm not really using the character properly. lol.. I'm playing all characters like Ganon, you know? It happens to plenty of people. So, it's hard for me to make an accurate statement for a character but I can still see what their tools are and what they can do sort of... but as for character potential.. for me in order to say that I would need A LOT of practice with one character. Hopefully, eventually I can help out with that.

Not really, I've only fought him once or twice.. can't really say much about him other than his funny up-B that moves lol. He seems like a really standard character without much. Link also feels like he's not gonna be very good in a long run either lol. But Link is always **** anyways, so it's not a surprise. haha.

Oh and Ganon is incredible. =P Giving him the option to have a much easier recovery = doom for everyone. I've heard too many times that it's not much of a big deal.. but trust me, it's A HUGE BIG DEAL. Letting Ganon recover in Melee was already very risky since he's so damn strong, one hit can change the whole game with that character. But now, he's going to be able to get on stage so much easier? Oh man... =P

Shanus and myself are planning on throwing a fest in Boston soon. Whenever he gets free time on the weekend I'm planning on taking some Rhode Islanders to get some Project M going. Not sure when though.

That's disappointing to hear, specially because Link gets unlucky with tiers every time. Link always seemed like a good character on paper with his projectile options, but never got his due. Well if the Devs think he has a good to go, then I trust them.

Well I only played this one time, it's definitely not something that is set in stone. It's up to the competitors to make it works and show what a character can do. I'm certainly not very good with every character. =P

Sigh... I'm glad to see a highly skilled player give us some opinions on him. I've been wanting to hear what good players feel on the subject of Link. Though as Kage feels like he's not proficient with Link I would still like to see a good link play him and get thoughts. Link requires you to know a very specific few things to be any good, along with knowing the character generally... There are just some things you have to do with him to win. If you don't know those things or aren't using them properly you're gonna have problems I guess.

Not to mention Kage is somebody who plays aggressive characters, and Link isn't that aggressive of a character.

Forsooth.

Will continue to wait for a really competent Link to judge... Still sucks hearing how link is sub-par so often... Makes me antsy for a more in-depth review of his pros and cons in the current build.

Sad to hear about toon link too but he does at least seem better than link atm.
