I always ban FoD. Because no matter how much marth ***** on YS. FoD is still 100 times worse.
Usually, the platforms are a valuable tool for Falcon, you can tech chase easier on platforms, you can avoid lasers with them, they help your recovery, Platforms are awesome.
But on FoD, Platforms are an obstacle.
Also, lately I've been having some trouble against Peach so I started thinking about the matchup. I'll post some of my thoughts and I'd like to hear what you guys think about them.
Just nair. What exactly can Peach do against nair? If she shields or crouch cancels it there's really nothing she can do to punish you if you space it correctly and don't **** up the l-cancel and dash away immediately.
If she's on the ground, she can't do ****. If she's in the air, just dash dance nair or better yet wait for her to get on the ground.
If you get knocked off the stage and manage to grab the ledge, just jump. I don't think there's anything peach can do to get to you fast enough to punish jump off the ledge unless she jumped so early you could choose to roll instead, stood on the platform (in which case a billion mixups can slip by), or threw a turnip.
If she throws a turnip at you while jumping off the ledge, just catch the turnip with Z.

when the platforms are at their lowest (without being gone of course) you can raptor boost under it and it'll hit anyone on the platform
good for covering most (if not all) tech options when you throw people on there

I always ban Yoshi's against Marths. I don't think FoD is outrageously bad... well, at least not as bad as dying near 0% from a tipper on Yoshi's.

Speaking of walljumps, what the **** is wrong with green greens? I'm hanging on the left ledge and sometimes it makes me walljump and sometimes it doesn't.

on FoD, you can pull off some combos that are impossible on almost ever other stage
you can do tricksies with edge cancels and stuff
most noobs or average people that counter pick it end up counterpicking themselves and getting owned

Well I've been auto banning it up until now. Luckily I still play it in friendlies so I'm not completely hopeless on that stage. I'll try not banning it in some matches and see how it goes.

If you press away on certain ledges (Green Greens, Hyrule, MKII, etc.) that go straight down with no lip, you'll walljump.

Yes I know that, that's not whats strange. What's strange is that the left most ledge on green greens is inconsistent. Sometimes it walljumps you, sometimes it doesn't.
Actually upon further inspection it seems that during invincibility frames upon ledge-grab it walljumps you and when it ends it does not. I'm playing as blue CF in case that matters.
