Lolz. Don't worry tofer, I will not be provoked so easily. I'm one of the few melee players that actually gives Brawl some credit, so if he wants to bash my game, let him. Also, I'll bring a Wii+Melee. Probably not a TV though.

I've never participated in any kind of tournament. I've only played with friends, and we are all pretty **** good at it, though we usually never play outside of final destination.
Anybody want to come over for a smash fest?
Not exactly a tournament, and there won't be any prizes...
Just for fun.
We get together a lot and we've been looking for some star players for quite some time now.

Standard Brawl matches are 3 stock & 8 minutes. You can check out the MLG rules here: http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=271261, but some rules are often changed from tourney to tourney.a what?

Also, I just shuddered at the thought of a 5-stock game in Brawl. They take so long! Lol

I only bash your trashy game because of how the old Melee community trashed my game when I went to a Melee tournament after Brawl's release. I don't think I'll let that go for some time, so just bear with it.

Espy, I can't help it if a lot of the people in the Melee community are *****, but I'm not, and I thought you weren't as well. You were always cool to me in person.
I'm alright in person, JF. Always have been. At least I like to think that.
Besides, most people should know that at this point, I'm doing it only jokingly.
At least, the Brawl community + SOS/Kyle knows that.

Can you update the start time for Bawl Doubles and Singles? It's unclear in the OP. I can edit if necessary.

I can't say I agree with it, although teams first has become the new thing. Regardless though, I can say that Alamo Gaming has agreed on a 3 pm start time (the restraunt will still be open at this time. Starting at one would be too close to the lunch rush.)
The restaurant closes at 7 pm, but after that there will be time to finish everything up.
Let me confer with the rest of Alamo Gaming and then I will update accordingly. Teams first is fine, just remember we aren't starting earlier than 3 pm. Which means we will be extra harsh on late people.
How much "after that" time are we going to have. 4hrs for a tourney sounds horrible.

We're fine until around 11 or 12 midnight. Honestly, no tournament should be running after midnight unless complications arise or someting.
I've updated the OP.
Start time has been changed to 2 pm for Brawl, 3 pm for Melee
Teams will be first for Brawl.
Espy is mostly interested in Brawl, so I will need someone in charge for Melee. JF you said you volunteer?

Personally, I think playing teams first burns me out for singles play, but that's my two cents.

Sure, I guess I can run Melee... I might want some help though. As for what comes first, Singles or Doubles, I'll let the people decide. So post what y'all want. I can't remember what I did for my WtYM tourneys, and idk what the standard is these days anyway.
