Brawl+ isn't very hard to play, and it isn't very hard to get either. You should all try and get it beforehand.

How would homebrew help me?
Homebrew allows you to run Apps in your Wii. One of the Apps you can use is USB Loader which allows you to run ISO games from an external HDD.

2) Meter a app Usb Loader 1.5 no cartão SD (pasta apps)

A minha net é muuuuuito lenta. D:

Very useful tips, SpikeBolt, thanks a lot for helping the others out. ^^

Back to the tournament topic, we only need a minimum of 2 players to complete our attendance. And then we'll have to confirm the "unconfirmed" ones.

What's our stance on infinites?

I'd say allow them, but if someone is caught unaware they have a right to a rematch after being told how to avoid it.

Concrete example, Dedede vs. Mario -> Tell Mario the best way to break out of a grab, advise him to avoid being grabbed (good luck with that), and tell him which characters are affected by the infinite. Restart the match with the same characters.

That way he can CP Dedede if he loses.

well just call out people playing characters x and y and tell them they can get infinited by dedede. then call out everyone and tell them they can be infinited by pikachu and ic xD

The chance of a portuguese Dedede/IC's player infiniting another player in the tournament is probably less than 1%, but hey, it's nice to think about everything.

Well, I'd say ONLY ban DDD's standing infinite (against DK and Bowser), cuz this one is the most likely to happen. And it's a pretty simple cg so anyone can do it without that much practice.
As for IC, well, I say keep it legal, BUT tell the people that are facing the IC's to watch out. If you play it safe it's hard to get grabbed.

It's so hard to perform that particular chaingrab that I will accept it as legal.

You mean IC? Yeah, if anyone took the time to learn it, I guess they should be able to do it at the tourney. I just know how to do the down throw to fair, lol.
And another thing: 10 hours for a tourney? o-o FIRST, I am not complaining or anything, and I certainly have the stamina for it, but does everyone else have it?

well i see no reason to ban the infinites, the only bowser i see on the list is flayl and he certainly knows hot to deal with it (please dont infinite my wario flayl :p). I would be more concerned about the pikachu new QAL, im gonna make sure SpikeBolt learns it xD

Well there will be 32 players, double elimination. Meaning a total of... 62 matches? 60 matches = 3 games, 2 matches (finals) = 5 games meaning a total of 190 games to be played.

10 hours is not too much. 190 games with 8 minutes limit make a worst case scenario of 25.333 hours. Divided by 6 TVs = 4.22 hours But with lunch and breaks between matches and people getting late and whatever it will probably take more than 4.22 hours. 10 hours seems a pretty safe value.

I hope I didn't make any wrong calculations

There are other games to play besides Brawl, that's the whole point of the 10 hours.

and people are free to leave whenever they feel like after brawl is done (and before too but that would be stupid since ur paying for it), 10 hours is just a prediction.

I know we're playing other games, but besides MKwii (which isnt such a good game) and GX (an incredibly hard game), it's gonna be brawl, brawl+ and melee. While I love playing all this games and I never, ever get tired of playing them, I bet that there are gonna be some people who will get bored after a few hours. :/

Also, we should talk about counterpick stages.

I honestly think Pictochat and Pirate Ship should be banned, because sometimes you simply can't avoid the hazards: Spawning missiles and fire on Pictochat, offscreen bombs on Pirate Ship.

On the other hand I think Distant Planet is CP worthy, you can't camp the match on the left part of the stage because of the rain, the spawnable tokens do little damage and no knockback, and I've never ever been killed by the bulborb (except the time I purposely jumped into it's mouth to see it kill me).

Though I can see why some people would disagree with me on Distant Planet.

As for neutral stages, there are 4: Battlefield, Final Destination, Smashville and Yoshi's Island.

With a 1-2-2-1 striking procedure that means Player 1 strikes 1 stage and Player 2 chooses the stage for match 1.

I think pokemon stadium should be neutral. I know that you're gonna disagree, but thats just my opinion. Personally, I dont see anything BAN worthy about it

Temporary walls make it a counterpick, at least IMO.

Personally, temporary walls aren't so bad. They are much easily avoidable than the walls, on say, corneria. I haven't had so much trouble avoiding the infinites on pokemon stadium, atleast I can avoid them long enough until a new transformation. :S

Also, corneria. I dont think it should be banned, even though it WAS banned in the new list. It's been an awesome counterpick stage ever since melee and I don't know why it should banned now in brawl.

I disagree. I tend to get killed/hit really often by the laser =\

In melee there was also wall infinites, but corneria was still counterpick.

Also funk, I wouldn't mind getting a capture card. Infact I wanted one a long time ago, but I've never found one for sale :ohwell: . Can you tell me where I can find it?

Ooo, devíamos fazer o bowser challenge lol.
