It was really warm in the day at smack too, like early summer in finland, but I just failed to get a good spot and the cold seeped in. It was very uncomfortable and I should've just gone to girls toilet to sleep, it was very warm there and hardly anyone would go to girls toilet at that time of the night. =D

But basically I had my clothes on and very thin sheet, but it was hardly enough and I couldn't get a wink of sleep. ._. I missed my sleeping bag a lot then and swore to never go out without one. Laatikko got to drag his huge bag with him that still abided restrictions, so I plan to do the same next time I use ryanair. =D

On another note, no flights from tampere to london on these days, bugger. Guess I have to go day early and leave in the morning of 13th, but I don't mind as long as someone in london is willing to house me and perhaps even, le gasp, provide a car transportation. I'm hoping for guidance the most tho so I don't get lost. :p

Fuuuuzzyyyy... :3
maybe :s I dont live in birmingham tho

Not much to say, I will attend to this awesome tournament.

About the rules: The best I've seen, don't change.

I'll post this on the swedish forum so no one will miss it.

**** there's a ryanair line between Lyon and Birmingham but it says there's no plane at this date.

Hmm probably it will open later ? I hope so anyway.

You should do a thread on the Tournament Listing section ;)

Porc, and other french smashers. If flights arent available i highly recommend getting a car full and driving here via a ferry. it works out VERY cheap and its just an awesome experience ^_^

This is my first ever multi-quote reply. I am so proud of myself lol

.
accessible out of country tournament? yes please ^^ very interested in both events +bed.
I'm from the netherlands.
Great to see Dutch interest so quickly. Please spread informtiaon about the tournament to others in your community.

I'm definitely interested (with an option on a bed :p).
This looks really promising.

I translated the post and posted it on the French boards, I'll keep you updated about how big the interest grows there ;)

As for the rules, Mute City as nothing to do here, otherwise it's really close from the ruleset I use at my tournaments, I really like it =D
Cheers dude fortranslating it and posting it on the french boards, really cool of you. Hopefully other europeans will transalte it and post it on their boards aswell.

Haha true. I'll see about housing you nearer the date if I'm not housing anyone at that time TC!
Brits should aim to make the venue on the day it opens and leave after it closes. Travel options to Birmingham are varied and cheap. Brits shouldn't have anoption finding a appropriate travel option. Therefore allowing all other housing to be used for europeans =)

Kone does the 80 entrant limit still stand?

If not how many people do you reckon the venue can hold?
No, it doesn't. 80 is to do with the amount of people allowed to sleep in the venue over night. I am meeting the venue owners on Tuesday to discuss how many we can hold in the venue altogether and negotiate sleeping arrangements.

ive just done a little research and it seems almost all of europe can get here for under £100. i dont know how each countries currency or exchange rate so just put it into an online converter ^_^
EDIT: willz, youd be very surprised haha, just talked to amsah and hes interested in doing just that xD
That's good then. I hope the best in Holland, Sweden, Spain, France etc come even if they go Apex. But like I said I still don't see many Amercians travelling to this. =[
With the range of airports european can fly into I expect all can get to the tournament for well under £100. Please remember ryanair are yet to release cheap summer sales.

I am hoping to finance armada/amsah's tickets home if they were to fly into the UK after Apex to guarantee their turnout.

**** the venue seems nice, like a motell O.o

And with the beds, I wouldn't need to drag my stuff with me and still sleep comfortably, unlike at smack when I was hella cold when I couldn't get blanket or pillow with me due to ryanair restrictions. :<

I assume sheets, blankets and pillows come with the bargain? :p

check other airports around the uk. i live close to machester airport and i know others live close to other airports
Samo- As stated by Joe try other UK airports and then use www.nationalexpress.com or www.megabus.com for coach travel between them. Also, I am talking to the UK players about people volunteering to escort/house those that fly into airports that aren't near near to Birmingham. Once you have bought your plane tickets samo please give me the details and I will pair you up with housing/escort. Just remember that im willing to house people for two days either side of the tourney.

In regards to the bed linen. You can hire them for £4.

Heh so glad your coming to this man ^_^. Make sure you drag as many Swedish as possible. Could you please transalte the thread and post on the swedish forums please?

Porc I expect that the line isn't open yet. However, I know that you can fly from lyon and grenoble to other airports nearby?

As stated by joe the car is a verry good option. If you get five in a car it works out at only 12 euros each return. Petrol from dover to birmingham is only 60 euros return...so like 12 euros each again and only takes 3.5 hours.

For the dutch/french the ferry and driving is a really CHEAP option. Remember your welcome to crash at mine the night before the tournament if you are tired after the drive.

For those that have posted their interest, including Brits, could you click on the following link it will take you to a google map showing tournament turnout i.e. where people are from. YOU CAN EDIT THIS MAP YOURSELF. PLEASE EDIT YOURSELF IN. COULD EVERYONE USE THE SAME COLURED PIN AS MYSELF. EDIT YOUR NAME IN AND ANY OTHER INFORMATION ABOUT YOURSELF. IT MAYBE USEFUL IF YOU PUT YOUR TRAVEL DETAILS IN THERE ASWELL.

If you dont understand how to edit it post your post code and ill add you :)

Yeay Austrians...I believe you can fly into birmingham via bratislava.

Travel hints and tips #1: Look into www.eurolines.com for long distance coach travel. Maybe cheaper than flying. Remember that you can stay at mine before or after tournament. Put your destination to london.

Travel hints and tips #2: Dublin. When ryanair releases there cheap cheap tickets for the summer months Dublin is always dirt cheap. There are loads and loads of connection flights between Dublin and Birmingham. Dublin itself flies everywhere in Europe. You may find it cheaper and easier to connect in Dublin than flying into london etc and getting the bus from there. It may also be quicker depending on your wait between flights.

This sound sweet. And I should have my driver licence by this time... :bee:
I'll probably come directly after Apex if I manage to go there, though.

Porc - Housing is offered to everyone at my place (20 mins by car from venue) two days before and after the tournament dates IF needed. Driving would probably be cheaper, more fun and guarantee that you get five french to come ^_^.

My friend Salepate who's co-hosting the Super Lion series coded the website.

I can ask him if he can send you a copy that you can modify for your conveniences, even if he's usually busy :p

So, international crews? who is up for them ;)? I am wanting to make international crews a main event at this tournament. Aiming to run it as the first event on the evening of the first night. That way it isn't an after thought, kicks of the tournament with everyone being involved and we get to see snippets between players that will hype the main singles tournament even more.

Saying that, we need to get as many countries involved as possible. I would like ten people per team....so really push your community to make this tournament.

Also, don't forget to add yourself to the google map if you are interested. It doesn't mean you are confirmed. We will change the coloured pins when people start confirming.

Sweet. You'll have 10 Frenchies ready to kick ***, I'm already sure of it ;)

Also, I'm thrilled to see if UK can win its first crew battle ever at home. :p

Haha im gutted you've mentioned that ;). Well, we nearly took Norway at the last ROS and we were mad underdogs back then (we didn't even have one decent player). Think our crew be a lot stronger this time and with home support im predicting the UK makes the final :psycho:
