Lanstar... drop the ego and grow to be more humble. And stop seeking appreciation and acceptance through others. Otherwise you'll never progress in Smash or in life.

And as Sheridan posted above... Show, don't tell!

Nobody really wanted to put him that low, but considering his performance last period, it didn't seem fair to put him over the previous 5-8.

It looks like he's going to stop screwing around or coming ill-prepared this time around, though.

its hard for me to tell how close i am to my best. i know im not completely there but i think im pretty close to be honest. i just feel like you and oscar improved a lot since my lil break. which is pretty cool to be honest, i hope the both of you keep it up. cuz right now 80 percent of my motivation is comingfrom wanting to beat both of you lol the other 20 is to **** everyone else ranked above me.

*cough where you at zhu/hugo cough*

before when i would lose to like macd or fly i felt likeit was because i just played like a bad. not to take away from them but thier characters **** fox if he messes up lol n my normal style will cause a lot of mess ups if im not playing amazing. as for the last two times i lost to johnny n oscar i felt like i gotout played. even if it was only by a bit and it was a great feeling. really makes me want to get back to my normal skill level or better then ever before.

so again, keep it up you *******s. ill be steppin it up

I was gonna insert a swear tittle on this post, but I'm at four points!

So I spent the last several hours getting tournament results (here in SoCal) and plugging them in manually into Cobalt's EloCalc thang! I immediately started inputting everything I can find and I didn't read this!

Oh, and for anyone putting in results manually, for accurate bracket ratings, put in the entire winner's bracket first, in order. Then the entire loser's bracket, in order. Followed by the first set of grand finals, then the second set of grand finals. This is the order in which matches for all players are played, and since ratings change after each match, the matches should be ordered correctly to ensure accurate results.
Instead of doing the above, I did ALL of the winners bracket first (including Grand Finals) then I did all of losers! However, I don't think it did hurt the results too badly! I plugged in tournament results that had the bracket posted up, but I didn't plug in results from pools! (If you live in SoCal, you know that pools don't count!) Also, I used a base rating of 1400!

I used the following tournaments to plug into the EloCalc!

LOL yeah im like dead at the base score! average is cool i guess. :)

that system is kinda weird tho isnt it? like it only accounts for placings, not who beats who. and that also means going to more tournaments makes it riskier for people not at the absolute top, if we're playing a number game...

No it's the opposite. Placings don't matter rather who you beat matters. Also when you played who sorta matters since point gains are different. If Atlus calculated these with chronologically it should be accurate

^ Jun please explain. Looking at the results they don't look very accurate. That means that my friend who only went to one tournament is better than Jesse. I'm trying to understand what you're saying, but am having trouble.
