Because I only care about playing doubles and I can almost never get a good partner. Last time I had someone good was Fizzle and he kinda just bs'ed with Diddy until I made him go D3.

You basically have to bring a friend with you, have history with someone, get really lucky, or have a good history of singles placements to team with someone.

If you just ask people you're trying to force luck, which is like spamming D3 f-smash to win :B

KIDS CAN WALK INTO THE STORE AT ANY MOMENT, SO CURSING IS NOT ALLOWED AT ALL. PLEASE DO NOT CURSE!

WE NEED MELEE DISCS! THEY WOULD HELP THE MELEE TOURNAMENT GO BY A LOT FASTER! WE ALSO NEED MEMORY CARDS! WE NEED AT LEAST TWO MORE DISCS AND TWO MORE MEMORY CARDS. THANK YOU!!!!

Should we? This is the first tournament I've really ran, so I'm not too sure about it. Would we have time for pools, singles, melee singles, and brawl doubles???

This is when we in the biz say "Pools will be depending on time, number of people, and setups".

If you have 8 people show up, a double elimination bracket would be lame.

If you have 8 people and one setup, pools would be lame.

If you have 16 people and 8 set ups, pools would be awesome.

If you have 16 people and 3 setups, pools might not be so awesome.


So if you aren't sure, just say "this is just a straight double elimination bracket, but if we have a favorable number of entrants and setups we'll do pools".

What time is melee going down?

Depends on if we do pools and how many people we have. I'd say around 4-5 is when melee will start, but I'm not 10000% sure.

I'm kinda not sure about pools since from the looks of it, we're going to have 6 set ups at the most, although I'm only expecting 4-5.

Yeah, we'll decide that when we have everyone there at noon haha. Depends on people and number of set ups XD.
