The closer the gameplay is to Sonic 3 the better.

Although I'm glad Sonic has a homing attack instead of the insta-shield.

Plays just like Sonic Advance 2/Rush, Spindash is screwed over again, jumping makes you feel like you're in space. And this is apparently the final product.

Commence with the emotion.
I expected it to play kind of like Sonic Advance, seeing how they both share a develper.

Well, I don't know how reliable this source is. The ESRB website doesn't have anything on Sonic 4 which means that they have yet to give it a rating. Unless otherwise stated, this guy is either a troll with too much time on his hands or he played a beta version and overreacted.

I think they're overreacting or that guy's lying.
I'll buy it anyways, but I'll trust reviews when there's proof or something.

It's only gonna be like, a $5 game anyways, right?

No harm no foul if it turns out bad. It can't be worse than Sonic '06, even assuming if that guy's review was true.
Sega will still suck, and they'll keep making Sonic games anyways.

I love how people are trash-talking Sega as if the only games they make are Sonic games. You know, depite the fact that they've made plenty of quality games since they went third party.
So you want me to be more specific? Alright, I'll play that game.

Sega will still suck at making Sonic games.

PS: *****, you forgot to put MadWorld and the Bleach DS games up there.

Okay.

I was going to put Madworld up, but Sega didn't make that game. They just published it, and I haven't played the Bleash DS games.

I love messing around with the gems in the open city segments in 06.

And Blaze's Wave Ocean.

That's probably the best part of it.

What about

"IT'S NO USE!!!!!!!!!1111111!11!11!1!1!1!"

?

Even as someone who liked the game...Silver battles were simply PAINFUL.

Silver's levels is the main reason why I didn't like Sonic 06. Dx

Since this game is downloadable, they could make changes easily than they would a disc game if there's any errors, COULD.

i dont get why they couldnt make a full game after sonic unleashed they were on the right track...
HA!

Sure, they were on the right track (
well, sort of
) but making a full game like that is expensive. I think that this was probably the most reasonable thing for them to do. It doesn't cost much and the fanbase is pleased (then again... it is the Sonic fanbase...).

You didn't include Space Channel 5, either.

Basically, yeah.

Really? I liked Rush better than adventure, since Adventure makes you replay the previously cleared levels over and over and over to get enough "materials" to unlock the next one. :/

I liked Rush better, but I love the slightly modified engine of Rush Adventure more.

Where people get NOTHING.
Not to band wagon, but I too enjoyed Rush over adventure. Playing the same levels over and over to advance was annoying and the 3-D exploration sections were boring after a while. Except for the Wave bike which was awesome but it had the shortest reach so you really couldn't use it to find anything.

And maybe just for the nostalgia factor, I liked the old special stage better as well.
