No, it's like this.

Let's say Ally won two tournaments only. One tournament, he used Snake and Meta-Knight, and won $200 in that tournament. In the other tournament, he only used Snake, and won $50.

In this case, it would say:

Ally: Snake: $250
Ally: Meta-Knight: $200

I take outlier cases into account like that. For example I don't intend to include Ally's winnings for ICs at Pound 5, when I start making heavy duty interpretations of the data as he only used them for ONE match during that national.

oh well john then you cant get an accurate list of how much money people have won unless theres one character theyve used in every tourney theyve played in

if you format the excel spreadsheet the way i think you format it (at some point you have columns for user/character/winnings in that order, and for examples sake those are columns b, c, and d) then you can go to column e and copy the formula

if(b2=b1,"",d2)

Then use that column instead of column d to calculate winnings, thereby ignoring duplicate characters

but that might not work if you order by user and not by tourney...in that case youd have to do something like

if(b2=b1,if(d2=d1,"",d2),d2)

and hope nobody wins the exact same amount of money two tourneys in a row

or if you write down dates you can use them as well

excel is crazy awesome like that

Well, set, match, w/e. The point is, you used them for such a small fraction of that particular tournament, I feel it'd be best if we just excluded them for this exercise. All other instances of you winning with ICs will be included, of course, because you did use them at a slightly higher, non-negligible rate afterwards.

Also, MK26, there's no real way to backtrack to how much money any given player has won, unfortunately.

Taking the

Ally: Snake: $250
Ally: Meta-Knight: $200

Example, we can't know exactly how much money Ally's won in this case.

For example, he could've won one tournament with Snake, earning $250, and won another tournament with Meta-Knight, earning $200, for a grand total of $450.

Or... he could've won a tournament with Snake and Meta-Knight, earning $200, then winning another tournament with just Snake, earning $50, for a grand total of $250.

Well, I guess the "Update Information" I provide with weekly updates would have it, although I didn't do that for the first 10 weeks of 2011, so there'd be a large gap in information if I were to just compile it from what I had.

Plus, compiling all of that for 22 weeks would take an annoyingly large amount of time... You can see how long the list for users is on the Excel sheet... It'd be a nightmare for me to try and do that all again...

Just eyeballing the currently available results, it looks like Falco's in 2nd for the week, with around $200.

And this is after splitting between characters, lol

MK has almost $1500 without splitting, which is about 85% of this week's tournament money.

IMO, he's getting to the "overcentralizing" point, at least here in the states.

If you look at John's "average" column, you'll see that he's getting closer and closer to holding half of the money each week, and if you look a total, he's not too far from half of that either.

Alright, here comes the update for the week of 6/11/11. Update information was posted earlier up the page and it hasn't changed since, so let's do this!

Now, before we get into the actual update, I wanted to point something out. Here's the graph for the "Average" column on a weekly basis:

I couldn't help but notice... but for almost half a year, not a single week has gone by with MK NOT making the most amount of money. Y'know, I might just make a big stink over this!

Anyway, here's the update. MK did disgustingly well this week, as usual...
