I can do my levels without check points

But most people try it one or twice and give up

But, add a check point and they may give it more shots

I've got two tips for everyone this Halloween.

First, you've got to Trick or Treat to Win (51F7-0000-00CB-A58A)

And lastly, remember that you can Never Trust a Boo..... (FB1E-0000-00C2-3665)

I played and beat all your levels and left comments. They were really fun! Made to the end of castle labyrinth but could never beat it though. Every other one I did though.
@Swampasaur
Beat all yours as well, really liked the gyromite stage, good job!

Now on to more of the levels posted here!

Here are my other levels that I have not posted for weeks.
Level Name: Rattle Battle (DK Country 2)
ID; D291-0000-00A7-169C
This is a recreation of the Rattle Battle Level from Donkey Kong Country 2. The Goomba's Shoe is used as the jumping Rattle. (Note: Two shortcut checkpoints are added and choose one of the 3 combinations to get through one of the shortcut checkpoints.)

Level Name: Hornet Hole (DK Country 2)
ID; 10B9-0000-00AA-E0A6
-This is a recreation of the Hornet Hole level from Donkey Kong Country 2. (Note: Two shortcut checkpoints are added and choose one of the 3 combinations to get through one of the shortcut checkpoints. )

Level Name: Toxic Tower (DK Country 2)
ID; 11F1-0000-00BC-ED64
-This is a recreation of the Toxic Tower level from Donkey Kong Country 2 which is one of the hardest levels in the game. Jump up through the tower using Goomba's Shoe (as the jumping Rattly), fly through the tower using Fire Mario and the cloud (as the flying Squawks), and jump through with the Fire Flower and Goomba's shoe (as Squitter). (Note: Two shortcut checkpoints are added and choose one of the 3 combinations to get through one of the shortcut checkpoints.)

Level Name: Zero Virus Stage 1 (Megaman X5)
ID; 719F-0000-00C6-C9DC
-This is a recreation of the Zero Virus Stage 1 from Megaman X5. This stage is also a reference to the Quickman stage in Megaman 2 (The lasers represent the bill blasters and cannons). (Note: Two shortcut checkpoints are added and choose one of the 3 combinations to get through one of the shortcut checkpoints.)

Level Name: Zero Virus Stage 2 (Megaman X5)
ID; 20E8-0000-00C9-F1D4
-This is a recreation of the Zero Virus Stage 2 from Megaman X5. There is a boss that has 4 parts. The first 2 parts require survival while the other parts let you use Bob-ombs or Koopa Shells. The boss is Rangda Bangda who is also from Megaman X (the first version). (Note: Two shortcut checkpoints are added and choose one of the 3 combinations to get through one of the shortcut checkpoints.)

If you're talking about "5-4: Labyrinth Castle", once you reach Bowser, you simply have to throw his Bob-ombs right back at him. The Super Mario World game style enables Mario to throw items vertically, so you can do just that if you don't want to take a hit from Bowser's fireballs.

I know, I was just really bad at that style of fighting. As I said though, it was a really well designed course! I liked the bowser Jr. on the cloud. Is the moving buzzy beetle able to be made into a helmet?( in the room right before bowser) As the lightbulb made me think so, but I wasn't sure if it could.

When you jump on a Buzzy Beetle, you can't wear it as a helmet; you have to transform the Buzzy Beetle into a mere Buzzy Beetle helmet if you want to put the shell on Mario's head.

Anyway, the lightbulb that appears when you jump on the Buzzy Beetle is just a notification that you can throw it at Bowser Jr. to knock him off Lakitu's Cloud; by doing that, you can safely reach the next pipe without having Bowser Jr. get in your way.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. I actually managed to take him out right at the start of the area but jumping from nearby platforms.

I did position Bowser Jr. at a height where jumping on him can be quite risky. The concept of that part of the course was to avoid Bowser Jr.'s fireballs until you reach the lone Buzzy Beetle; once you reach the Buzzy Beetle, you have to throw it at Bowser Jr. to knock him off Lakitu's Cloud, and then finish him off like normal.

I did have him follow me a few time to the end, but I made it to the pipe before hand. With jumping on him, it's as you said risky, I never took the cloud though, as that seemed to get me killed more often then not.

I'm hearing the update is supposed to go live at 5PM PST today. I've heard some conflicting times, but it should be somewhere around that time frame.

So far, no new updates for Super Mario Maker have been released yet. If not today, then perhaps tomorrow, as Thursdays are often the days when the Nintendo eShop gets updated.

Totem Links costumes have been teased! Are we going to see more soon?!
(I might also add in that I'm holding off on Triforce Heroes until I beat Link Between Worlds, which I can do now thanks to the freedom from exams!!)

So far, I've completed 2 of the new Event Courses. I think for my next project, I'll see what I can do to try and replicate the original "Race to the Finish" from Smash 64 for my next project. Oooh... Maybe Board the Platforms!

And here are my current uploaded courses: This one is, "A peculiar ocean trip..." This one is self-explanatory. (Though I should ask, is the Flying Squirrel Suit available, or is it just the Propellor Suit that's in the NEW Super Mario Bros theme?)
(78F6-0000-00B9-D404)

Second one was "Father and Son Danmaku Randomness1" which is sort of meant to be a sort of series where you dodge Bowser and Bowser Jr.'s barrage.
(733D-0000-00C8-B251)

But the third course is one I am very happy with... "Escape the Castle, Princess!...?"
(BC9F-0000-00D6-FD12)

Feel free to try them, and offer some criticisms where you feel they are necessary. :)

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

I have just learned that every glitch has been patched, you can't become invincible through the spike door trick, invisible platforms are gone, yoshi can't eat blocks, and you can't walk through walls using the glitch anymore. If you have any stage that uses thee glitches, they have to be removed, as they are now un beatable.

Has this been confirmed (video, perhaps)? If so, this is fantastic news!

I know that Yoshi can eat coins, but I've never seen him eating blocks. Fortunately for me, none of my courses utilize any of the patched glitches, so they're still fully playable.

The glitch where he eats blocks was just discovered a few days ago( so they worked fast) If you placed coins under the solid blocks only breakable by the spiky helmet( worked best in SMW style for some reason), the Yoshi could take the block ith the coin and eat it.

So what happens to levels that were uploaded that required the glitches to be completed? Have they been removed from the server or are we just stuck hoping we don't come across one of these now broken, unbeatable levels?

They're still around...
Yup, I took mine down, but others haven't seems to realize this. Weirdly enough, there is one glitch stage that still works. Crossy road, I played it in the top levels sections last night. Perhaps they eliminated each level one by one, but left that one because it had become so popular?

And of course they somehow managed to mess up the Mario World checkpoints; what else is new?

f you have any stage that uses thee glitches, they have to be removed, as they are now un beatable.
I wonder how they know.

Edit: Okay, it appears they didn't remove them.

True. Still, the checkpoint flags are set to be two tiles wide and two tiles tall. And while the midway gate may be two tiles wide itself, it's hardly ever two tiles tall; it's usually taller than that.
True, but that doesn't make it a reason to replace it with the checkpoint flag...

But I shouldn't complain; that flag looks really good!

Plus it's better then no flag. Now we just need slopes and the remaining power ups...
