I just got Mario Kart today along with m 3DS, and I am having fun with it.

Also, I play simply for fun, so my skills are not as fine as the more competitive players out there.

Also, we need to start up some MK7 tournaments. With that said, I'll start our first Tournament on Jan 1st around 6pm EST. Since it's just the first one, we'll just do an easy rules. 4 cups, any stages but no repeats, all characters, all vehicle parts, free for all. If we have more than 8 people, that's fine, the Community feature will just break up the rooms evenly and Top 3 or 4 (depending on the amount of entrants) will make it to the Finals. MAKE SURE TO ADD THE COMMUNITY CODE, AS YOU MUST BE A PART OF IT TO PARTICIPATE: 51-9776-9442-5819

You could always increase the weight of your combo. At best, a Feather class character can have 3.5/6 as his weight stat, which could be helpful. For a Light character, it's 4/6.

I actually got a dazzle as well for christmas, so I plan to use it a lot for MKWii shenanigans. The games aren't all that much similar, so I still plan to play both.

The way I see it, you want good Handling OR good Off-Road. If the handling is bad, the high off-road will counter that weakness. Likewise, good handling would mean little to no use for off-roading.

However, combos that utilize the best possible handling typically won't have the best top speeds, but their acceleration can make up for it.

In a similar manner, you'll get the most out of off-road when you're using the Feather characters, especially when you consider that their acceleration, at worst, can only go down to 2.75/6. With most other characters, however, the acceleration won't be so good, which can be a problem.

Anyway, how would the following combo fare?

Feather character (Toad, Koopa Troopa, Shy Guy, Lakitu) + Zucchini + Red Monster + Paraglider

Speed: 4.25/6
Acceleration: 3.5/6
Weight: 2.75/6
Handling: 1.5/6
Off-Road: 5.25/6
