The Kazoo Quit Mini-Modding Grand Prix #1: Acclimatization
- Because a certain group of mfs just can't stop with false accusations,
- Because I live up to my promises,
- Because I actually want to get back into playing Brawl (for the lulz, @ least),
- Because having an OT with real prizes is pretty legit,
- Because having a post-Halloween tourney with this picture is pretty legit,
The Skinny
Video evidence is the name of the game. In the evidence of any disputes, those who actually record their matches will be given much more wait than those that don't. - With your entrance into this tourney, you hereby give your right for all your matches to be recorded.
- Please record your matches if possible! For those of you who don't have anything to record with, please send me your matches. My Wii number is on my posting information. For those wondering to how to save your matches, head here and follow the directions in the OP.
- I reserve the right to remove entrants from the tournament @ my discretion should there be any reason for additional removals of entrants
- The prize for winning the tourney will be determined @ a later date. I can readily assure you that it won't be 2000 Wii Points, but something far greater.
- This is the first of seven online tourneys that I will be hosting with a very handsome reward on for the top three winners.
Schedule:
11/5 Round 1 starts no later than this date!
11/8 Round 2 starts no later than this date!
11/11 Quarterfinals start no later than this date!
11/14 Semifinals start no later than this date!
11/17 Finals start no later than this date!
If matches get done earlier than these dates, then the next round will start 24 hours after the previous round that ended.
Brawl Rules:
- This is a single elimination, doubles tourney. The maximum number of teams allowed are 32.
- Semis are one set, best of three. Finals are one set, best of five.
- There will be one additional match for third place between the losers of the semifinal matches.
- As this is my first time playing Brawl for a very long time (over eight months), I reserve the right to pick a doubles partner from the pool of entrants. Hence the title of the tourney. Please note that I will only be doing this once for the series.
- Items off.
- Ties are broken by remaining lives, then %. If both criteria are tied, then the Sudden Death match will be played out.
- First stage will be determined through stage striking from the Neutral stages listed below.
- The loser of the first match will announce a new stage to play on for the next game. The winner will then be allowed to switch characters, followed by the loser. Apply the same logic for the third match (and fourth/fifth when applicable) if there is one. (Advanced Slob Picks)
- No stage may be used twice in a single set if the counter-picking player has already won on that stage, unless the opponent agrees to use the stage again. (Dave's Stupid Rule)
- Each person (or team) may choose one stage to be disabled for the entire set at the START OF THE SET, after characters have been chosen but before the random stage has been picked.
- Controller Mods, Glitches, and tactics used to stall a match (wall-bombing, rising pound), are banned.
- King Dedede's Standing Infinite is permitted up to 300%.
- Chain grabs are allowed up to 300%.
- Japanese Ledge Rule is in effect. More than 35 ledge grabs and you lose the match.
- For doubles: Team Attack will be ON, life stealing allowed.
- In the instance of severe lag: Winners will be determined by picking a number from a randomizing apparatus I have in Excel. Whichever team is closer to picking the number without going over will be declared the winner.
