so i found a "full album playthough" of Plastic Beach

personally i think the beginning of the CD is horrible (i think i was probably Snoop that ruined it for me), but it definitely makes up for it with the songs after.

my personal favorites are Rhinestone Eyes, Superfast Jellyfish, and Glitterfreeze.
overall its pretty good imo, but you have to decide for yourself.

Coachella Line up is going to be mad sick.

Deadmau5, Benny Benassi, David Guetta, Tiesto, MGMT, Kaskade in the first two nights (the two nights I'm going, I think), on top of Muse, Jay-Z, and Coheed & Cambria.

Very yes.

I love Aphex Twin, my only beef with him is that sometimes he drags the same beats on for way too long, especially in I Care Because You Do
I somewhat agree. The only reason I don't mind them in that album is because "Cow Cud is a Twin" has a sick beat and that album is entirely analogue.

Edit: "Wax the Nip" is good too.

So I recently discovered Mastodon again and holy mother****ing ****.

If you like crunchy guitars, amazing jazz influenced drumming, whacked out time signatures, and the opposite of pretty melodies, check 'em out.

If you like pansy ****, like most of you ******s do, this **** is not for you.

I'd recommend checking out tracks from Leviathan, Blood Mountain, and Crack the Skye.

Early stuff is at your discretion.

Lately I've been going through the "music of video games" playlists that this guy on youtube makes, and I've found a lot of cool stuff.

Loaded - Music by Neil Biggin, Patrick Phelan, and Pop Will Eat Itself (a group which included Clint Mansell, who composed the Requiem for a Dream music). This has a lot of really good tracks, I especially like the intro. I've never played this game, but it looks similar to Smash TV.
Mr. Bones - Music by blues guitarist Ronnie Montrose. Never played or heard of this game but apparently it has a cult following. The first 3 tracks here are great.
Total Annihilation - Music by Jeremy Soule. Awesome orchestral stuff.

i said i was gonna post this awhile ago

from lenny white- venusian summer
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgUrrGU1B5Y

lenny white is basically a boss jazz drummer who put together this pretty amazing group
it's like progressive jazz from the 1970's, this song is really fast and eclectic and it ends with an awesome drum solo

the video is just d00dz surfing but whatever

i don't post in here often so you know that i'm FOR REAL

edit:
and i really used to LOVE aphex twin
i got all his ****sss
but recently, whenever i went back to him, it always felt like he was just messing around, instead of making "music"

a lot of his tracks lack the continuity that i've discovered that i really love in anything

OMFGGGGG sheridan

total annihilation has one of the best soundtracks ever
even though you failed to link this song
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WulGs5aDCb4
That song was in the medley of songs in the link. Anyway, if you like the TO soundtrack, you definitely have to get at the Medal of Honor soundtrack if you haven't already. It's similar in style, a little more John Williams-y:

Joe I enjoyed that Lenny White track. I've been dabbling in jazz lately:
Charles Mingus - II B.S.
John Coltrane - Ascension - Probably not for everyone
Sun Ra - This is...interesting. I don't "like" it...but it is interesting.
