You know, Wario alone being special could merely mean that the costume has 6 different colors...

I mean, we already know Link has an alternate costume (Dark Link anyone?)

(Also, if there was just one Dark Samus, Dr. Mario, Shadow the Hedgehog, Birdo, Pichu, blah blah blah etc. etc. etc., I wouldn't really care. Even if these characters aren't included at all, no skin off my nose.)

The only reason I can see that happening is if his outfit is determined at random, as he's already shown dressed in his Wario Ware clothing in one of the SSE cutscenes.

Dark Link is still just Link's "special" alt, but Classic Wario is different, not just a recolor.
And none of those(cept Doc and Pichu) would be alts/clones anywaay.

I'm actually happy with this update. I hated the WarioWare Wario, and always liked the original. One thing I didn't like, as mentioned in the podcast, is how they have his fat handing all out. They keep turning Wario into a disgusting, farting, smelly, nasty character, rather than the original greedy/evil character he once was.

For the record: Wario will be the only one with an alternate costume. I think Sakurai purposely stated it in that way after finding out people still believed in Ness.

And invert the spikes upward

Naw. Some people are hard to please. This rocks. I was hoping they didn't dodge the classic Wario outfit, and lo and behold (lol old phrase), they didn't.

Well why are people assuming updates have to be special on a particular day?!
I'm so tired of everybody bit**ing that "oh, Sakurai should have put a character for Dec. 3rd" updates suck!

I absolutely LOVED this update! I'm sooooooooooo glad they gave Wario his classic outfit! I know that when I play as Wario, I'll use this outfit exlusively! It's small things like this that make you go, "Wow, Sakurai HAS thought of everything!"
