I'm definitely going. :D

Friday friendlies only? If I bring a Gamecube, do I still need to pay 5 dollars or is the fee waiver only for the TV? Also, do I need to fill out the General Attendee Form since this event doesn't have pre-reg?

so apparently, getting a ride is not a problem
i could use housing for 6-7 people though

i think most of them would be fine with splitting up housing if that's easier

This will be my first tournament since last year's WGF, haha. I'm bringing the mustard Mario so hit me and my friends up for some good games. See everyone there.

Hoping this breaks 100 entrants again like it did the last couple times! It'd be ridiculous how fast of a start the Melee community would be off to in 2013. Good luck to everyone at UCSD running this.

Seeing the history we've had with this place, I wouldn't be surprised we break 100 entrants easy. Who's showing up for the Smashfest on Friday? I'm bringing four people and a Wii with Smash 64/Melee/Brawl/Project M, so if someone can bring a TV we'll be all set.

EDIT: One of my friends says he's bringing his group of friends. Expect a party of ~10.

I'm hoping the free doubles and low singles fee bring the UCSD and local crowds in big numbers. I don't get to attend many tournaments with college playing a huge role in how I live and travel, so I'll be doing my part to bring some friends and competition this time around. SoCal's still running strong after all these years, and the faithful will show.

Does singles pools turn into bracket at some point? X_X That is, where on the schedule is it?

That being said, I plan on going and bringing 1 TV and 1 Stabbedbyanipple most likely.

I'm bringing a set-up with both Melee and Brawl on Friday, so if anyone wants in just let me A.K.A. the dude that looks like Freddie Mercury know.

It's more so that we had brawl last year and the community brought two setups.

They had to convert melee wiis to brawl so that they could have a tournament.
