@ the great jonzales : this is actually Inertia123 not Dacacia. We've just started what is hopefully a weekly kind of meet up and play kinda thing with 4 of us. We all live around Portswood in SOuthampton itself though so unless you've got a car might be a bit difficult . smash is gay. Theres 2 ways to play, friendly or serious (gay). friendlies tend to be more aggresive, more approahing, light hearted and fun. because of this crazy **** gets done and its amazing. In serious matches people tend to camp, not appraoch, concentrate on spacing, the only comboes come from people DI'ing badly and noone enjoys them.

Get used to it, coey, who i play against alot, loves to sit back, let me approach, punish it, think he's smart. I hate it, BUT i'm so used to it that its fun in its own way, concentrating on your spacing can be fun times as long as you appraoch. The banter flies back and forth like Federer and Murray socking the **** out of it, or like superman after he gets a call saying theres an earthquake in japan and an avalanche in alaska.

I had you read perfectly on that hand duncan, As soon as you called my preflop raise i was sure you were on a lowish pocket pair. I see flop of 2 kings so i thought thats massively reduced the chance of him having kings, then i see my ace come up, and I thought well this is my pot. Any low pair would have done me except 3s lol

And no, don't be silly, of course I haven't looked into courses I could be taking next semester. I'll probably do it after Tuesday's exam, right at the very last minute.

OK then Southamptoners back to business. We need to organise something regular to make things easier and for that we need 2 places where we can host and alternate between the two. Seeing as Inertia and pickled noob only has 50Hz, which isn't ideal, this should prob be mine and dacs house. Then we need to pick a day when people can make it so I'm saying Saturday for now unless anyone has a problem.

Also. For our crew are we all agreed on the saints?

Really Saturday would be better as Sunday'll be back to casino time after my exam. Also I may try and get a 60hz TV if I can get a cheap one. Also I may well get tetris party for my Wii for the banter.

Also if you guys are free on Friday during the day, like 11or 12 till 6-7 that would be good as a warmup for GG2. My exams finish on Thurs so I won't be playing basically at all until they are done.

I'm good with hosting regular smashfests - it might help me keep my room vaguely tidy if I know people will be in my house every so often. Saturday is probably a good day, that way I can have a reason for leaving any uni work until Sunday instead of just being lazy. Or something like that. Inertia, I was about to ask when your exams finished so we could get some hardcore practice in before the tourney - I'm free after Tuesday so Friday will definitely be fine.
