There are currently 807 Pokémon. We'll say there's 900 Pokémon with Generation 8.

That's 900 puns you can make right there. However, some Pokémon names are more conducive to the creation of jokes and puns--we'll say 450 for the sake of math--with some being able to generate 2, 3, or 4+ jokes.

I'd estimate the number of Pokémon puns to be around 2,000 as a conservative estimate. If people got really creative, I could see there being upwards of 5,000 Pokémon puns.

So like, when trying to decide what color I wanted to make the clouds in my latest drawing, I kinda sorta just said "Heck with it, I'mma make 'em pink" and I really, really like how it turned out. Now that my Derpy Hooves drawing for Derpy Day is done, it's time to move on to a Scorbunny drawing. Gonna try to start work on that sometime tonight or tomorrow. Whenever inspiration strikes.
