Also, aaron (the guy who took the bus with me) and I were thinking about getting 3 or so large TVs, so, downtown smashfests anyone?? on a regular (monthly/weekly/daily??) basis

PS, Vino, get over to Ogg asap and make me better.

That sounds like a great idea. I'm moving to a smaller apt this weekend, so I can't really host big fests anymore, so we need somewhere to go!

Alright, update on my tourney.

I called around the areas hotels right now, the best deal I'm looking at is $150 for a 660 sq ft room. But we would get it literally ALL DAY. I talked to the lady, and she said she can open it up around 8, and we could keep the room till about 10-11. I realize 660 isn't the biggest, but it should be enough for 30+ smashers. I'm going to go take a look at the other rooms in the hotel as well tomorrow, so I'll make a final decision when I see the rooms. So the venue fee would be the standard 5$.

What I'm looking at is a good date for everyone. I'm thinking either the first or second week in April. I want to get the date out BEFORE bigger tournies starting popping up so we can get A lot of OOS interest. (MN, IL, MI i'm looking at you guys) So what dates in April work best for everyone?

It's looking like April 24 is going to be the date for my tourney. I'm headed to the hotel in the next half hour. Once I get in contact with the manager tonight, it should be official within the day.

EDIT: Just got back from checking out the room, and it's super small. Def not worth what they are asking. Steve and I are going to talk to UW O next week to see if we can get a cheap venue from them. But April 24 is looking more and more likely.

Scheduling a fest...

When should I not have it is the real question (other torunaments and the like).

Anytime is good for me, i just need it a week in advance so i can ask off of work.

EDIT: In other words, plan your own **** fest. Just tell me when it is.

FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU I cannot go. I'll host a smashfest at my place in 2 weekends if people want to. Its not terrible, and I got two rooms for tv's.
